Zhongwei Goji Processing

Zhongwei goji extends from fresh and dried fruit into puree, freeze-dried goods, extracts and formulated foods, each with distinct moisture and storage needs. A 2025 account lists 142 processors and more than 120 product varieties, without implying that every company makes every form.

Formation and regional foundations

Shapotou bases supply fresh berries during the picking season, and drying converts freshness into a storable moisture state. Puree, freeze-drying or formulated foods create new lot codes, while base numbers and input weights keep the finished goods connected to their fruit.

Zhongwei goji runs from fresh and dried fruit to juice, freeze-drying and formulated foods, so one conversion rate cannot explain all goods. A 2025 Ningxia source gives 142 processors, 41 further processors, 37.8 percent conversion and 120-plus varieties; Shapotou plans record policy action, and city lists identify three entities. A lot still depends on base, drying, process, testing and label.

Core geography: Zhongwei citywide frame for goji growing, drying, further processing and technology projects

Spatial view of Zhongwei Goji Processing

Five functional nodes in Zhongwei Goji Processing

Branches from base to dried fruit, puree and packs show goji conversion only, not ties between companies.

  • Zhongwei input and regional entry — Origin and timing conditions for Shapotou goji bases.
  • Zhongwei collection node — Harvest, grading and local collection for Shapotou goji bases.
  • Zhongwei processing node — Process and lot controls for drying and functional-food processing.
  • Zhongwei quality-check node — Zhongwei Goji Processing check point for standards, tests and labels.
  • Zhongwei logistics and market node — Storage, transport and delivery conditions for Zhongwei Goji Processing.

01 · City and Shapotou boundaries

Citywide firms and Shapotou projects use different scopes.

A 2025 Ningxia agricultural page reports on Zhongwei city, Shapotou notices cover district work, and a municipal science item records city-level projects. Each source needs its own city, district, company, base and township location. One project address is not the address of every processor, and citywide processing data cannot describe a particular workshop.

Goji bases can span counties and fresh fruit is picked in rounds. City firm counts show organisation but not where 41 further processors sit or who makes 120-plus varieties. Geography and product attribution return to named lists and plants. Extending a district project to the city would omit fresh-fruit origins, drying methods and product structures elsewhere, while drying method must return to the actual base.

A map layers bases, drying points, plants, projects and stores with level and date. One plot lot is traced to dried and finished goods; a district project does not stand for the city — Planned items remain planned rather than operating. The visit plan separates base, drying yard, processor and branded outlet, stating geographic level, date and visible goods at each, and visit photographs state the product form seen.

  • City firm counts differ from district projects.
  • Product varieties are not assigned to firms.
  • Planned nodes remain planned.

02 · Firm count, conversion and varieties

The 142, 41, 37.8 percent and 120-plus measures retain denominators.

Official material lists 142 goji processors, 41 of them engaged in further processing, alongside a 37.8 percent conversion rate and more than 120 product varieties. The 41 firms are a subset of the 142, while conversion and variety count measure different things. Together the figures describe the structure of the processor base, the reported use of raw fruit and the range of products; they do not yield output per company.

The 41 are not added to 142, and 120-plus is not a firm count. Conversion retains the source definition rather than becoming all fresh fruit sent to further processing or a basis for company capacity. Approximation and percentage signs remain visible — More than 120 describes product varieties, not companies; combining the four measures cannot derive company capacity or sales, while the variety approximation cannot become exact sales.

The table labels cohort, subset, ratio and varieties with the 2025 date — Later output or value receives a new measure rather than reverse-calculation. A year comparison first checks that further-processor and variety definitions remain unchanged. Measure records retain the subset relationship, percentage sign and “more than”; a changed further-processing definition receives a separate note, and later data first confirm that the definition continues.

  • The 41 firms sit within 142.
  • 120-plus is an approximate variety count.
  • 37.8 percent does not derive capacity.

03 · Fresh and dried goji

Fresh-fruit spreading and drying shape colour, moisture and use.

The agricultural page connects bases, processing and products, while the Shapotou plan supports bases. Before processing, fresh fruit still depends on maturity, waiting, cleaning and weather. Firm counts cannot record picking round and plot for a lot — Fresh goji continues respiring from picking through spreading; layer depth, temperature and turning affect colour, moisture and damage in dried fruit, and spreading start and finish times stay together.

Sun drying, controlled drying and freeze-drying use different time and temperature, producing different colour, moisture and cost. Faster is not always better — heat can affect condition and delay increases damage. Fresh and dried weights remain separate. Base area cannot show whether one truck was handled promptly, and the previous day’s sample cannot establish current maturity or mould, while mould-affected fruit remains outside the normal sample.

Plot samples record variety, picking round, maturity and weather — drying adds spreading time, temperature curve and dried weight. A fresh lot split between drying methods receives separate codes and samples. Finished tests return only to the matching drying lot — At handover, record picking time, net weight, fruit temperature and plot; after spreading, check moisture loss and retain samples from mixed sources, and unusual moisture loss triggers a check of layer depth.

  • Fresh and dried fruit are weighed separately.
  • Faster drying is not necessarily better.
  • Split drying uses independent lots.

04 · Further processing and product forms

Juice, freeze-drying, extraction and formulations receive separate process checks.

Municipal science reporting and Shapotou notices show innovation and projects, while the city page counts further processors and varieties. They locate technical directions without proving mass production or assigning 120-plus varieties to plants. When dried fruit becomes puree, freeze-dried powder or extract, inputs, other ingredients, concentration and yield require a new process record, and a formula change creates another finished-goods code.

Juice uses crushing, heat and filling — freeze-drying uses freezing and vacuum — extracts use solvent and concentration; formulations add recipes and allergens — Inputs, yields and permits differ — One further-processing label distorts capacity. Many varieties do not make formulas interchangeable; puree tests do not cover blended drinks, and dried-fruit moisture does not explain extract purity, while a changed blend ratio calls for another test.

A visit selects exact goods, then checks permit, input lot, critical parameters, yield, cleaning and tests. Trial or construction projects retain that dated status. Quotation capability uses recent same-specification lots, not investment or total varieties. During a line walk, choose one finished lot and check input weight, ingredient code, critical temperature, realised yield and retained sample at each stage, and the retained quantity must support reassessment.

  • Four processes use different permits and yields.
  • Project direction is not mass production.
  • Pricing uses recent matching lots.

05 · Standards, testing and labels

Residues, moisture, sulphur dioxide and labels follow food form.

The three-year plan sets directions for quality, branding and further processing, and project notices identify supported construction. Neither document substitutes for food testing. Dried fruit calls for checks such as moisture, pesticide residue and sulphur dioxide; puree adds microbiological results, soluble solids and storage conditions; formulated foods require their own ingredient, additive and label review. Each form therefore needs the standard and report that apply to it.

The same input changes moisture, sulphur dioxide, microbiological or ingredient risk under different processes. A dried-fruit report cannot cover juice, and project support does not make every lot conform. Sample name, specification and lot must match the pack. A passing report without the same form and lot loses its subject once goods are repacked or other ingredients are added, while a new ingredient prevents reuse of an earlier report.

Receipt identifies food category and standard, then checks contracted residues, additives, microbes, moisture or labels. Reports match producer, date and lot — untested items remain unknown — Near-limit results trigger retained samples or retesting rather than brand explanations. At receipt, identify food form first, then match report sample, production date, ingredients and pack entity; inconsistent codes trigger resampling, and the pack entity must correspond to the producer.

  • Food form determines test items.
  • A dried-fruit report cannot cover juice.
  • Near-limit results trigger retesting.

06 · Projects, funding and markets

Project support shows policy input, not company sales.

Zhongwei and Shapotou project notices and support plans record policy and science work. They show public support for bases, processing or innovation without company orders, customers or payment. Project acceptance answers agreed construction, not market acceptance. Project funding and science tasks show policy input and research direction, but neither operating equipment nor existing sales, and the funding amount remains tied to the project date.

Goji goods serve different channels: dried gift packs, juice and functional foods have different demand and compliance. A line does not guarantee channel fit, and project participation does not prove repeat sales. Market reading needs same-product dispatch, returns and payment terms. Mixing planned, under-construction and completed status would turn budgets into assets and experimental samples into routine goods, while equipment status needs separate operating evidence.

Commercial assessment selects one product and reviews recent order ranges, dispatch frequency, return causes and payment points, allowing customer redaction. Project files retain funding, construction and acceptance only — Trial receipt checks packing, taste, sediment or damage before channel choice. For a project, check equipment arrival, commissioning, continuous production and conforming output; obtain quotations, orders and receipts separately for the market side, and sales papers must identify the exact goods.

  • Project acceptance differs from market acceptance.
  • Channel judgment uses exact goods.
  • Sensitive customer names may be redacted.

07 · Three goji entities

Hechuang Qixian, Tianbeichun and Qizitang appear in two official records.

The Ningxia agricultural page names Ningxia Hechuang Qixian Agricultural Technology Development Company Limited and Ningxia Tianbeichun Biotechnology Company Limited; a Zhongwei key-enterprise list names Qizitang (Ningxia) Health Industry Company Limited Full names retain brackets and place wording. Hechuang Qixian, Tianbeichun and Qizitang are named in two official records, supporting entity names and the dated project or sector context.

Agricultural technology, biotechnology and health industry are name elements, not proof of technology, goods or credentials. Goji context creates no equity, customer or supply relation. Identity evidence supports dated entity context — current operations require separate sources. Words such as fresh, technology or health in a name do not prove current goods, and sector proximity creates no manufacturing or customer link.

Before contact, check the company’s unified social credit code, current address and signing authority, and state whether the enquiry concerns dried fruit, puree or a formulated food. The producer on the permit, test report and label should align. If the brand operator, manufacturer or payee differs, obtain written material explaining each role and its authority before payment.

  • Three names come from two official records.
  • Name wording does not prove technology.
  • Brand operator and producer roles remain separate.

08 · Raw-material-to-product checks

Base, drying, process and packing lots connect in sequence.

The six sources connect Zhongwei’s processor base, conversion, product range, support plan, science projects and three legal entities. That is a useful industry map, but it does not accept a bag of dried fruit or a bottle of puree. Physical traceability follows continuous lot numbers; when fresh fruit becomes dried fruit, puree or a formulated product, the new lot should point back to its input lots and processing date.

Origin can break when fresh fruit is mixed, dried lots are pooled, material enters extraction or a brand uses a contract manufacturer. A conforming downstream test describes its sample; it cannot restore a plot relationship already lost. For a formulated product, the trace must also fix the formula version, actual manufacturing plant and every input lot instead of following only the brand printed on the pack.

Acceptance works back from the package code through entity and label, finished report, process input, drying record, fresh-fruit handover and production plot, checking quantity, date and test status at every conversion. Receipt also checks net content, seal, sensory condition and storage temperature. A successful trial supports repeat purchase only for the same product and plant; another goji form needs its own inspection plan.

  • Each form change creates a new lot.
  • Later conformity cannot reconstruct the plot.
  • Repeat purchase stays with same goods and plant.
