Formation and regional foundations

Cattle and sheep inventories show the county livestock base, while value-added changes for livestock processing and dairy move in different short-term directions. Sangke and two industrial parks connect inputs, processing, cold chain and byproduct use.

Xiahe lies within Gannan, and every headline figure belongs to the county rather than the whole prefecture. Yak and Tibetan-sheep meat, yak dairy and livestock byproducts follow different processing routes through local parks.

01 · Xiahe County is not all of Gannan

County figures retain their geography.

Xiahe is a county within Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, so highland-livestock scale and company activity first refer to the county and cannot become prefecture-wide conclusions. Cattle and sheep inventories, meat processing, yak dairy and byproduct recovery occupy different stages with different seasonal, cold-chain, fermentation and recovery needs. A company review should tie pasture source, processing site, licensed products and sales scope back to Xiahe County.

The 166,000 cattle and 393,100 sheep figures are point-in-time inventories for different species and units.

Every comparison begins with Xiahe County within Gannan, then separates inventories, processing growth and park activity.

02 · Separate inventories from growth rates

The two measure types describe different things.

The Xiahe Statistics Bureau records 166,000 cattle and 393,100 sheep in county inventory during the first half of 2025.

03 · Anduo connects meat and cold chain

Park reporting shows procurement and processing.

A Xiahe County park report places the ecological-economy industrial park in livestock and livestock-products processing and uses Gansu Anduo Group as a recorded example, mentioning yak and Tibetan-sheep procurement, slaughter and processing, cold-chain prepared foods, and byproduct activities.

Planned processing, projected value, and model language on the park release stay outside the four measures and do not prove completed plans, current capacity, sales, revenue, orders, or procurement relations.

Anduo’s park location, meat products and cold-chain steps together define its processing role.

04 · Xuedun’s yak-dairy products

Event exhibits show products at that time.

A 2023 county promotion-event report names an older variant of Xuedun Yak Dairy and gives yoghurt and yak milk as event product examples.

Event exhibits are not the company's complete product range, continuing production, food certification, current capacity, sales, revenue, or market share.

At a county specialty-livestock promotion event in 2023, a name variant of Xuedun Yak Dairy appeared with yoghurt and yak milk as displayed products. Later park visits record activity at another time, but exhibits and visits do not prove that a particular line is operating today. A site enquiry should confirm the current company name, active products, food licence, milk source and cold-chain records together.

05 · Dawa Yangzong and byproduct recovery

Fieldwork focuses on resource circulation.

Dawa Yangzong Group appears in Xiahe county livestock fieldwork in 2024, and the 2025 organic-fertiliser conference included a visit to the modern livestock park. These dates locate the group and park within local byproduct-recovery discussions, but they do not prove a fixed supply relationship with other meat or dairy firms. Actual circular use requires the exact input, collection area, fertiliser product, inspection and current operation.

Field research, conferences, visits, and circular-agriculture assessments do not prove that Anduo or Xuedun supplies Dawa Yangzong with manure, hide, bone, dairy byproducts, or other materials.

Dawa Yangzong’s recovery role is best understood through its group identity, fieldwork year and actual fertiliser products.

06 · Sangke and two industrial parks

Local parks cannot represent the county.

Sangke Town, Xiahe modern livestock park, and the ecological-economy industrial park are local or park contexts within Xiahe County in Gannan.

Park targets for processing, grassland, orders and equipment are plans rather than realised operating results.

Sangke and the two parks have distinct locations, and named projects reveal progress at each site.

Anduo’s park context covers yak and Tibetan-sheep procurement, slaughter, cold-chain foods and byproducts.

Xuedun Yak Dairy is associated with yoghurt and yak milk in promotion and visit records.

Dawa Yangzong appears in yak-industry fieldwork and an organic-fertiliser resource-recovery visit.

Confirm products before tracing inputs.

Meat cold chain, yak dairy and byproduct recovery provide three field routes through Xiahe.

Park events show products and participants at that time but do not establish trade among firms.

A Xiahe visit can follow three routes: meat cold chain, yak dairy and byproduct recovery. Meat requires livestock origin, slaughter inspection and frozen transport; dairy needs milk collection, pasteurisation or fermentation, food licensing and cold chain; byproducts require collection, treatment and finished-product tests. Each company capacity, current operation and certification remains separate, and appearing at the same park event does not establish trade.
