Turpan Grape Processing

After harvest, Turpan grapes divide into fresh fruit, raisins, wine and grape-leaf products. Citywide area and crop output are agricultural measures, while above-scale wine output and annual raisin capacity use different industrial and capacity scopes.

Formation and regional foundations

A hot, dry climate supports fresh fruit and traditional drying, followed by storage and sorting, winemaking and by-product processing. Firms in Gaochang and Shanshan occupy different counties, permits and seasonal supply chains.

After harvest, Turpan grapes enter fresh fruit, raisins, wine and grape-leaf processing, which do not use the same varieties, maturity or picking windows. City area and output form the agricultural base, while firms, permits and processing nodes in Gaochang and Shanshan divide materials into particular goods.

Core geography: Gaochang fresh and dried grapes, leaf use and Shanshan wine processing

County and company nodes in Turpan grape processing

How Gaochang drying, Shanshan wine and leaf use divide

The map sets city grape resources beside three company-product routes; links do not show shared material or transactions. Purchasing, permits, processing lots and dispatch confirm each actual path.

  • Turpan grape industry — The city node contains planted area and grape output without allocating them to a processor.
  • Fresh grapes and raisin processing — The drying node links harvest, sun or controlled drying, sorting, storage and packing; capacity is not output.
  • Shanshan winemaking — The wine node covers above-scale industrial output and a named licensed firm as separate scopes.
  • Grape branch and leaf use — The branch-and-leaf node converts grape leaves and other by-products, with season and permits judged separately.
  • Turpan Fruit Industry raisins — The Turpan Fruit Industry node has raisins in an annual certified-product list, used within that scope.
  • Xinpuwang licensed winery — The Xinpuwang node has a Shanshan address and wine-permit renewal matter, with current operation confirmed separately.
  • Nongyexiang grape-leaf processing — The Nongyexiang node records a 2023 grape-leaf purchasing and processing setting that needs current confirmation.

01 · Gaochang and Shanshan host different grape products

The city crop divides by variety and market after harvest.

Turpan statistics cover citywide grape agriculture, while Gaochang has fresh, drying and grape-leaf processing and Shanshan has winery permits and wine context. The counties share an origin name. A product still states plant address and processing stage.

Fresh grapes value appearance, crispness and cold chain; drying material emphasises sugar, seedlessness and drying; wine selects acidity, aroma and maturity; grape leaves use tenderness and integrity. Variety suitability differs. Purchase price and picking time therefore separate.

At receipt, a firm records plot, variety, harvest date, maturity, transport and acceptance. City output describes only the material setting. Purchasing and production lots connect the actual destination rather than a map inference.

  • Agricultural totals do not establish the destination of each bunch.

02 · Area, grapes, wine and processing capacity are four measures

Different units and stages prevent direct yield calculation.

In 2024 Turpan had 632,800 mu of grapes and produced 1.6272 million tonnes of fruit. Above-scale industrial wine output that year was 1,306 kilolitres. In 2025 reported annual raisin-processing capacity was 220,000 tonnes.

Land area and crop weight belong to agriculture, wine kilolitres are an above-scale industrial product, and raisin tonnes are industry capacity. Grape output is not divided by area into an unconfirmed yield. Capacity is not actual drying volume or utilisation.

Annual comparison separately updates planting, primary output, the same above-scale wine population and comparable drying capacity. Company figures use only that entity’s output and equipment. Cross-stage conversion requires variety, moisture, purchasing, loss and finished inventory.

  • Each figure is used within its year and population.

03 · Raisin quality depends on harvest, drying and storage

The 220,000-tonne capacity meets seasonal feed and conforming yield.

Turpan raisin processing includes fruit selection, washing or pretreatment, sun or equipment drying, destemming, optical sorting, grading and packing. Weather, variety and maturity alter drying time and colour. Concentrated seasonal intake also strains storage and packing.

The 220,000 tonnes is annual industry processing capacity rather than finished output in that year. Fruit loses substantial weight during drying, and rejection and rework also affect product. Utilisation depends on material, orders, maintenance and quality grade.

A processing lot retains variety, fruit weight, drying method, moisture, optical grade and finished weight. Storage controls temperature, humidity, pests and odour, while packing verifies moisture barrier and transport. Only those data allow a firm to explain loss and delivery capability.

  • Nominal equipment volume is not saleable raisins.

04 · An annual certification list covers only named raisins

Product colour and brand scope align item by item with certification.

The 2023 “Xinjiang Quality” list names Xinjiang Turpan Fruit Industry Co., Ltd. with red, green and black raisins and associated brands. The list confirms the company and named products for that year. It gives no plant capacity, sales or customers.

An annual list does not establish current certificate validity and cannot cover unnamed products. The industry’s 220,000-tonne capacity cannot be assigned to this company. Purchasing checks certificate number, validity, product, brand and production address.

A representative lot is then checked for moisture, colour, foreign matter, food safety, packing and taste, with results kept separately from certificate identity. A brand or formulation change triggers a fresh scope check. Certification provides a quality route without replacing customer acceptance.

  • Other company products cannot automatically borrow list status.

05 · Wine output and one winery permit are not interchangeable

City above-scale industry and a Shanshan entity sit at different levels.

Turpan’s 2024 above-scale industrial wine output of 1,306 kilolitres covers the applicable industrial population. It is not the company output of Xinjiang Turpan Xinpuwang Winery Co., Ltd. Winery counts and design capacity use other scopes.

Xinpuwang’s permit notice gives a Shanshan County address, wine and fermented fruit-wine products and a renewal matter. This states permit handling at that time. Current production still requires valid status, plant address and product scope.

Wine purchasing covers vintage, variety, alcohol, composition, bottling lot, storage and label. Winery access or tasting is not supply capability. Contract lots also complete tests, transport and target-market requirements.

  • A permit states product scope; lots show actual production.

06 · Grape leaves create another food chain from vineyard work

Leaf maturity, picking and preservation use a different window from fruit processing.

Xinjiang Nongyexiang Agricultural Products Co., Ltd. was observed purchasing, processing and selling grape leaves in Shengjin Township, Gaochang, in 2023. Its plant carries a June 2023 commissioning point together with then-stated capability and intended purchasing. Those company measures remain outside the four city indicators.

Edible grape leaves control variety, tenderness, integrity, pesticide use and harvest hygiene and may then undergo brining or another preservation method. Leaf picking cannot harm fruit or vine health. Branch and leaf use therefore needs its own agricultural and food criteria.

Current engagement first confirms registration, food permit, harvest season, material acceptance, process and actual purchasing. A 2023 plan does not continue as a later commitment. Recent lots establish product destination, packing and customer requirements.

  • Company capability and planned purchasing are not completed volume.

07 · Turpan Fruit Industry, Xinpuwang and Nongyexiang cover three goods

Raisins, wine and grape leaves do not share permits or quality sheets.

Xinjiang Turpan Fruit Industry Co., Ltd. corresponds to several raisin colours in an annual certification list, with engagement beginning from product and certificate scope. Current company output is not inferred from industry capacity. Customers use actual lots to assess moisture, grading and packing.

Xinjiang Turpan Xinpuwang Winery Co., Ltd. corresponds to a Shanshan wine-permit route, with products and operation confirmed through current permits and bottled lots. City above-scale wine output does not become its figure. Wine customers also check vintage and label.

The third company handles grape leaves on a season and food process distinct from fruit. The common origin creates no automatic purchasing relationship among the firms. Any cooperation states both names, goods, date and delivery.

  • Using grape resources does not create inter-company trade.

08 · Experiencing Turpan follows season and product

Fresh fruit, drying, wineries and leaf processing do not peak together.

Fresh-fruit and drying routes concentrate in harvest season, and Gaochang can combine vineyards with drying or processing; Shanshan wineries open according to production and visitor arrangements. Grape-leaf picking has an earlier seasonal window. Location, roads and access are confirmed before departure.

Raisin purchase checks producer, moisture, grade, ingredients and storage; wine checks permits, vintage, alcohol and bottling lot; grape-leaf products check material and preservation. Each good uses its own label and transport conditions. An origin story does not replace product information.

Volume purchasing begins with representative samples and one actual receipt, observing quality, packing, timing and response. Seasonal change affects materials and requires confirmation the next year. Stable supply rests on the company’s lot history rather than city agricultural figures.

  • Open sites and saleable lots are confirmed in advance.
