Tengchong Specialty Food Processing

Tengchong specialty foods span zone-based green processing, tea production and workshop foods such as ersi and rice noodles. Fourteen zone firms, 572 workshops and tea output belong to different geographies and statistical levels rather than one company count or value.

Formation and regional foundations

Highland tea, rice foods and plant processing grew from local diets and agricultural resources, while zone services, group standards and permits encouraged formal operation. Tea companies, plant processors and village ersi factories retain distinct processes and markets.

Tengchong specialty foods include development-zone firms, citywide workshops and tea production, as well as an ersi factory in Chaoyang Village. Zone output, regulated-workshop count and city tea harvest describe different levels; a bag of tea, a pack of ersi or a named plant-processing project provides the real entry point.

Core geography: Tengchong development zone, tea districts and Tengyue rice-food processing

City, zone and village nodes in Tengchong specialty foods

How tea, plant processing and ersi take separate routes

The map places city, zone and village locations side by side; links do not create a business register or transaction. Product labels, permits, lot codes and actual receipt establish operating relationships.

  • Tengchong specialty-food network — The city node contains several foods and business forms rather than one supply chain.
  • Development-zone green-food segment — The zone node uses a fourteen-firm population and segment output, with the actual register checked separately.
  • Tengchong tea production and processing — The tea node covers city primary output and company processing, with fresh-leaf destinations determined by lots.
  • Chaoyang Village ersi processing — The Chaoyang Village node links rice food, a factory and cultural display without representing all workshops.
  • Gaoligongshan Ecological Tea — The Gaoligongshan node has a named company and competition result, which does not certify every product.
  • Chenguang Biotechnology Tengchong node — The Chenguang node includes zone presence, government services and a permit change as separate states.
  • Hu Jiawan ersi factory — The Hu Jiawan node covers one ersi production and display setting, with current products confirmed by label and permit.

01 · Zone, city and village are three observation ranges

A common food theme cannot merge geographic levels.

Tengchong development zone counts green-food firms and segment output, the market regulator counts citywide food workshops, and the statistics bureau records the city tea harvest. The Chaoyang Village ersi factory is one particular village-business setting. The four items do not describe one common set of businesses.

Zone businesses may be formal plants, while workshops operate under another regulatory form, and a company factory need not be a workshop. City tea can also be sold fresh, shipped out or processed outside the zone. Shared geography does not create an automatic subset.

Understanding a food starts with producer name, address, permit category and label. Zone figures describe the industry setting, city counts show the regulatory task, and village information locates a particular place. Separating them makes routes and responsibility clearer.

  • Every figure and company remains in its own location.

02 · Four figures describe firms, value, workshops and tea

Different units and years cannot form one industry total.

In 2024 the Tengchong development-zone green-food segment contained fourteen firms and produced RMB 1.34 billion in output. In June 2026 the city contained 572 food-processing workshops. The 2024 city tea harvest was 31,000 tonnes.

The fourteen firms and RMB 1.34 billion belong to one zone segment, the 572 cover another type of citywide operator, and tea tonnes are primary output. The firm counts cannot be added, and segment output cannot be divided by the workshop population. Tea harvest cannot become zone feedstock either.

Later updates separately seek zone annual results, the regulator’s workshop register and comparable tea statistics. A business entry, exit or change of form carries its date. Trends are calculated only between adjacent years in the same series.

  • Comparison first fixes geography, population and time.

03 · The development-zone segment is not a complete company register

Segment statistics and named companies serve different purposes.

The development-zone annual review treats green-food processing as a segment and records fourteen firms and RMB 1.34 billion in output. It also names several zone firms in abbreviated form. Abbreviations help locate the segment but do not replace a current legal-entity register.

Segment output can come from firms of different sizes and products, so division by fourteen does not yield a typical company. Firms may also enter, leave or change product after the year. Customers check current registration, permits and plant status.

A zone visit chooses the product before arranging the relevant plant rather than guessing business from abbreviations. Engagement records the full company name, address, production category and contact. Zone services can support matching, while the plant and samples establish capability.

  • Zone output is not averaged across fourteen firms.

04 · Tea harvest first passes through fresh-leaf conversion

City output cannot become one tea company’s processing volume.

Tengchong’s 2024 tea output of 31,000 tonnes is a citywide primary-production result. Statistics may use fresh leaf, made tea or another basis, so the measured product is confirmed before purchasing. Even a made-tea figure does not mean all was refined by local firms.

Tengchong Gaoligongshan Ecological Tea Co., Ltd. provides a named tea-processing route and has a 2024 innovation competition result. Third prize describes performance in that event. It supplies no quality, capacity or sales information for every tea lot.

Tea trials record cultivar, season, fresh-leaf or crude-tea origin, process and storage. Sensory assessment and checks of moisture, contaminants and packing attach to one lot. A claim about a particular garden or ecological attribute needs corresponding support on the label.

  • Tea type, season, plot and lot jointly define a product.

05 · The Chenguang node contains funding, application and permit matters

Government service and administrative handling each describe one moment.

Chenguang Biotechnology Group Tengchong Co., Ltd. appears in the development-zone green-food segment and industrial-technology work, with a special-fund matter and a recommendation for an application. Receiving funds and being recommended for a qualification are different results. The recommended application still requires later assessment before any final designation can be stated.

The environmental authority also records one change to the company’s pollutant-discharge permit, including entity, location and handling date. The change applies to the relevant matter and validity period. It does not by itself establish food categories, project operation or all environmental performance.

Business assessment separately reviews operating and production permits, current products, applicable plant and recent lots before deciding whether the work is food processing. Government funding and qualification procedures remain background. This prevents an administrative matter from substituting for a deliverable product.

  • Current products cannot be inferred from a zone abbreviation or one permit item.

06 · Workshop regulation and an ersi factory coexist

Traditional rice foods can be produced under different business forms.

In 2026 the regulator counted 572 food-processing workshops across Tengchong, with common products including ersi and rice noodles. The population spans the city and varies in size and conditions. A regulatory count cannot become the factory count of a village or brand.

After implementation of a group standard, regulation and upgrading can improve materials, hygiene, packing and labels. Workshops must continue to meet applicable requirements. One demonstration or training event is not permanent compliance.

Hu Jiawan Food Co., Ltd. operates an ersi factory and cultural-display space in Chaoyang Village, providing a specific company-production route. Visitors can learn the rice process, while buyers check permits, ingredients, date and storage. A demonstration experience and that day’s production are assessed separately.

  • A buyer checks the producer and lot, not the citywide workshop count.

07 · Gaoligongshan, Chenguang and Hu Jiawan follow three product routes

Tea, plant processing and rice foods do not share one quality logic.

Gaoligongshan Ecological Tea corresponds to tea processing and branded products, assessed through tea type, season, lot and storage. City tea output cannot be assigned to it. A competition result cannot replace tests and sensory assessment for a pack of tea.

Chenguang Tengchong is a plant-processing node in zone and administrative matters, with its food direction confirmed through current products and permits. A special fund or permit change does not identify customers. An enquiry for an extract or ingredient obtains specifications, process and a lot sample.

Hu Jiawan provides a rice-based ersi factory route, with products assessed for rice, process water, hygiene, packing and rehydration. A common Tengchong location does not show mutual supply or shared capacity. Orders and actual delivery establish any cooperation.

  • The three independent firms are approached through their own permits and products.

08 · Tasting and purchasing require different preparation

Visits emphasise access and culture; purchasing emphasises permits, lots and delivery.

A tea experience chooses the making season and a company open to visitors; ersi can be explored at a village node with display and production. Access to a plant processor is confirmed in advance. Neither zone output nor workshop count shows whether a site is open that day.

Purchasing samples use real labels and production lots and record ingredients, standard, shelf life and storage. Tea adds brewing assessment, ersi adds rehydration and texture, and plant ingredients add composition and dissolution. Each product therefore keeps its own acceptance sheet.

A receiving problem returns to producer, lot and transport rather than the entire Tengchong origin. Each supplier builds its quality history through consecutive delivery. A new product receives a fresh check of permits, process and consumer use.

  • A particular food determines the route better than broad industry figures.
