Tai'an Daiyue decorative and prefabricated materials
Decorative materials and prefabricated components cannot be grouped by appearance. Gypsum board, cement-based products, insulated panels and precast elements carry different fire, strength, thermal or structural duties. Dimensional standards, connection details and installation sequence determine whether a material enters a building system.
Formation and regional foundations
Daiyue gypsum, cement and new-material foundations gradually met prefabricated-building policy, extending some firms from individual boards or binders toward components, precast elements and installation support. Planning targets show direction, while projects must align detailed design, factory schedule, transport lifting and site acceptance one by one.
Decorative and prefabricated materials span gypsum board, cement-based products, insulation components and precast structures. They need factory dimensions and properties while surviving transport, lifting and site connections. Daiyue offers several building-material routes that cannot be compressed into one green-material category.
Core geography: A new-building-material chain across Daiyue District and Dawenkou Industrial Park, combining gypsum board, cement-based materials, insulated decorative components, precast concrete and design-installation coordination
How material properties enter a building system
Why factory acceptance can still become cracking, leakage or misinstallation on site
Routes follow building delivery; different materials share design and connection interfaces without sharing properties.
- Gypsum, cement and insulation feed — Material identity and proportion set distinct process windows.
- Board and product production — Forming, drying or curing establish dimension and properties.
- Detailing and performance validation — Joints, assemblies and tests turn materials into systems.
- Prefabrication and kitting — Openings, embeds and kits are organised by building.
- Transport, lifting and installation — Weather, tolerance and trade interfaces test installability.
01 · Place four material families back in their building locations
Gypsum, cement, insulation and precast components cannot speak for one another.
Gypsum board commonly enters interior wall and ceiling systems; cement-based materials serve substrates, mortars or products; insulation addresses envelope thermal work; precast concrete may enter structural or nonstructural assembly. Their feed, production, properties and installation differ. Daiyue sources show several enterprise types, while projects identify products by building location. Once identity is clear, reports and methods know which material they actually cover.
Calling every material green or prefabricated hides different boundaries for fire, water, strength, thermal behaviour and connection. One property of a standalone material does not guarantee the same conclusion after it enters a wall or component. Purchase classification starts from use, system configuration and acceptance standard rather than an industry label. Green attributes need defined metrics and boundaries rather than impressions from product class.
The material schedule lists building location, interior or exterior, moisture, load, fire, thermal and finish before choosing a product system. For assemblies, draw layers, fixing and joints so no supplier is responsible only for one layer. Every substitution checks adjacent materials, thickness, mass and sequence to avoid damaging the system through local optimisation. System drawings should include replacement access so critical parts remain reachable after completion.
- Material class must bind to building location and system duty
02 · A gypsum-board line controls core and facings together
Slurry, forming, drying and trimming set board condition.
Gypsum-board production forms slurry between facings, then sets, cuts, dries and trims. Slurry proportion, foaming or additions, facing bond, line speed and drying curve affect mass, strength, edges and moisture. A flat board can still vary in internal density and paper bond along or across the line. The line timeline returns later abnormalities to specific feed and dryer events.
Faster drying for line speed can create moisture gradients or weak edges between core and facing. One finished sample misses paper splices, startup and zone disturbance. Dimensional acceptance also does not ensure crack-free installed joints because framing, screws, edges and humidity act together. Manufacturing data needs connection to system use. Board and framing jointly set wall stiffness; greater board thickness alone cannot solve cracking.
Continuously record slurry, mass, drying and moisture against line time, marking startup, facing change and adjustment zones. Sample thickness, edge, bond and required properties across positions, and reach suitable condition before packing. A project mock-up then validates framing spacing, screws, joints and finish so board control maps to site cracking risk. Mock-up crews and tools should resemble actual installation rather than a development showcase.
- A board lot must trace to its specific period on the continuous line
03 · Cement-based performance begins with water and curing
Proportion, environment and age determine what a test result means.
Cement, aggregate, supplementary material, admixture and water form mortar, board or other products. Raw-material variation, actual water, mixing and curing affect strength, shrinkage, bond and durability. One formula behaves differently across humidity, temperature and age. Enterprise scale and regional cement base establish supply, not the lot’s manufacture and curing history. Cement-lot variation can also alter open time and pumping or application feel.
Adding water on site for workability changes the factory proportion and increases shrinkage. Standard-cured specimens cannot directly explain cold, dry or early-loaded site conditions. Chasing high early strength can raise heat or later cracking risk. Material selection and execution therefore need the real environment and time window. Without site curing records, cracking is too easily assigned to the material alone.
After locking materials and proportion, record actual water, temperature, mixing and curing, with specimens stating cast time and condition. Site rules define adjustment limits and prohibit uncontrolled water, using field-representative curing samples when needed. After cracking or bond failure, investigate substrate, thickness, weather and open time together rather than assigning everything to cement strength. A same-lot reference helps separate production variation from site environment.
- Cement-based results must state age and curing condition
04 · Fire, thermal and environmental metrics cannot replace one another
Each conclusion belongs to a material, thickness and assembly boundary.
Decorative and envelope materials may involve reaction or resistance to fire, thermal conductivity, water absorption, strength, weathering and environmental metrics. Low conductivity does not establish fire performance; material reaction does not equal wall fire resistance; environmental certification does not replace structural or use safety. Reports must match composition, density, thickness, finish and connection. Every performance term should trace to a full report and corresponding physical sample.
Compressing several metrics into one green grade suggests free substitution where none exists. Changed thickness, finish or fixing can leave the tested boundary. A report cover alone cannot establish that its sample matches the current product. Authoritative documents need matching against model, production state and assembly configuration item by item. When configuration differs, even an excellent reported number cannot enter design directly.
Build a performance matrix listing design need, test object, method, result, valid configuration and product identity separately. Prefer assembly validation for combined systems, with design calculations and supplemental tests where coverage is absent. Assess changes in feed, density, thickness, facing or fastener rather than carrying old conclusions because the trade name stayed. Change assessment must reach construction and supervision so old joints are not repeated.
- Every performance conclusion must carry its full configuration boundary
05 · Standard dimensions are assembly interfaces, not merely manufacturing tolerances
Board joints, modules, embeds and openings meet through dimensions.
Prefabricated components, boards, framing, connectors, and service openings must meet accurately within the building module, and a conforming individual length does not guarantee installation of the full run. If as-built survey, tolerance stack, and sequence are uncoordinated, error accumulates at the final bay as an excessive joint or an impossible fit. Design allocates adjustment among product tolerance, building datum, and adjustable connection, then uses the first installed section to correct later production.
Demanding tighter factory tolerance increases cost without correcting site datum drift. Relying entirely on adjustable connections can consume travel in the first components. Detailing needs tolerance allocation and worst-case stack, stating which variation is absorbed by product, adjusted at joints or corrected before installation. Remaining adjustment travel should be measured and recorded during installation.
Before production, obtain the as-built structure and latest axes, completing layout and clash review for typical rooms or elevations. Measure components, joints and remaining adjustment on first articles and the first installed zone before volume fabrication. Number packs by sequence and set out from one datum rather than allowing crews to accumulate error from different starts. Earlier first-zone feedback reduces the number of later components needing rework.
- Dimensional tolerance must be allocated between factory and site
06 · Detailing is a shared instruction for manufacture and installation
Model, drawing, schedule and site must stay on one version.
After prefabricated materials enter a project, architectural design becomes component breakdown, joints, embeds, openings, schedule and installation sequence. Detailing is not merely a finer drawing; it resolves structure, services, finish and manufacturing capability. One late opening change can affect mould, reinforcement, finish, packing and lifting, so change propagation must be controlled. Closing a model clash does not prove factory programs received the same change.
A factory building an approved drawing while site uses a newer model creates two teams working correctly but unable to install. Verbal changes and chat images often miss schedules and machining programs. Design and production overlap can be managed, but only with frozen zones, open zones and at-risk inventory rather than an entire building in uncertain revision. Visible frozen and open zones tell purchasing which materials are safe to order.
Name one controlled model or drawing as manufacturing authority, with component identity linking geometry, material, embeds and installation location. A change states affected components and status: update unbuilt, assess rework or disposition of built, and refer installed items to design. Daily kit and version checks span plant, transport and site so every loose accessory finds its component. Component-level kitting prevents temporary site substitutions from breaking verified joints.
- Component identity must connect model, physical item and installation location
07 · Transport and lifting are load cases for the component
Supports, lift points, route and weather can change finished condition.
Boards, panels or precast components leave the plant through stacking, restraint, vehicle vibration, turns, unloading and lifting. A component designed for final installed load can see another stress set when flat, vertical or carried by few lift points. Edges, finishes, embeds and flexible materials need different protection, making logistics part of product design. Transport load checks should cover worst supports and events such as emergency braking.
Changing support spacing for loading density can crack a component. Over-tight restraint damages edges, while loose restraint allows impact. If tower-crane capacity, road turns and laydown sequence are not checked, components undergo repeated rehandling. Every extra move adds damage and version-mix risk while consuming installation takt. Counting rehandling gives laydown and sequence improvement a measurable target.
Design racks, lift points, dunnage and restraint around centre, stiffness and finish, then run a representative journey and trial lift. Route review covers height, turns, capacity and unloading position, while packing follows installation kits. At receipt inspect edges, cracks, embeds and identity, isolating abnormal components before lifting rather than deciding under the hook. A trial lift also checks rigging access, orientation and crew sightlines.
- The logistics orientation must enter structural and packing design
08 · Site acceptance must see joints, not only surfaces
Hidden connections, joints and process conditions shape long-term behaviour.
After a decorative or prefabricated system is installed, many fixings, insulation continuities, fire stops, joint substrates and embedded connections become hidden by finishes. A flat final surface does not prove concealed joints complete. Weather, substrate moisture, welding or grouting condition also changes outcomes. Acceptance needs traceable checks at the right process gates. Concealment records must locate the joint rather than show an unoriented close-up.
Leaving every issue to final visual inspection makes correction require finished-surface demolition. Many photographs without component number, location and measurement also prove little. If the first zone gives no timely feedback, a wrong method repeats rapidly across floors. Site quality is organised around high-risk joints, first work and concealment gates rather than document volume. Mock-up approval must close issues; a signature alone does not correct later work.
Set hold points for fixing, joints, stops, grouting and sealing, recording component, grid, crew, material lot and environment. Design, manufacture and construction jointly confirm the first standard floor or mock-up before repetition. At completion, locate changes, inspection and maintenance in the building record so later repair does not damage other layers. Located as-built information carries manufacturing traceability into building maintenance. Crews can see concealed materials, connections, changes and inspections before drilling or replacement and select compatible spares and repair methods.
- Before concealment is the last window for confirming assembly quality

Split first by material system and building location, then follow feed, forming and curing, inspection, detailing, prefabrication, transport and installation. Public plans establish the chain but do not make every product inherently efficient or safe. Fire, thermal, structural and environmental conclusions belong to defined configurations and tests.
