Qinghe cashmere and cashmere products

Qinghe cashmere depends not on presenting warehouse, spinning and apparel as one factory, but on keeping a fibre lot identifiable after every transformation. In 2024 cluster revenue reached RMB 47.01 billion and R&D spending RMB 1.02 billion, with respective growth of 11.54% and 25.8%. Those figures describe scale and investment; cashmere content, yarn strength and garment shrinkage remain lot tests.

Formation and regional foundations

Qinghe developed scouring, dehairing, spinning, knitting, storage and online sales around raw-fibre trading. Fibre diameter, length, colour and contamination are recombined after washing and dehairing; yarn twist and strength then affect knitted density and pilling. Shared flat knitting can turn a design into a garment quickly, but it does not confirm fibre composition, care labels or order inspection for a brand.

Raw fibre does not travel in a straight line toward a prettier garment. Washing changes mass, dehairing regrades fibres, blending determines the label, spinning turns diameter and length into strength, and knitting turns yarn into size and handle. Qinghe’s storage, manufacturing and shared workshops must hand over data at each change or the final label cannot return to material.

Seven transformations of a Qinghe cashmere lot

Keeping mass, composition, yarn and garment panels connected

Nodes represent material states and service duties, not fixed purchasing relations; links show lot or test-result handovers.

  • Raw-fibre bale — Declared origin, net mass, colour, contamination and sample position form receiving identity.
  • Scour and dehair — Scouring loss, coarse-hair removal and fibre grading change lot composition.
  • Fibre laboratory — Diameter, length, composition and contamination are described by samples, not touch.
  • Blend and spin — Blend, twist, evenness and strength form a knittable yarn lot.
  • Whole-garment flat knit — Program revision, machine, density and yarn lot form garment dimensions.
  • Wash and garment check — Shrinkage, pilling, shade, seams and labels are checked on garments.
  • Warehouse and dispatch — Temperature, humidity, bin, packaging and dispatch lot preserve material state.

01 · RMB 47.01 billion spans many material states

Regional revenue and the content of one bale answer different questions.

Provincial industry figures record Qinghe cashmere-cluster revenue of RMB 47.01 billion in 2024, up 11.54%, and R&D spending of RMB 1.02 billion, up 25.8%. The cluster spans raw material, spinning, knitting, storage and sales services. These measures describe annual scale and investment change, not the composition of an individual sweater. R&D growth is also a cluster-year change, not a company innovation ranking.

Trading value, processing volume and garment sales can occur in one county without forming one manufacturing capacity. A bale may pass several operators, a yarn lot may supply several brands, and shared knitting equipment may serve many small firms. Assigning every stage to one company would distort equipment, stock and quality responsibility. Service fees and goods value remain distinct so one material lot is not conceptually counted twice.

Structure the industry review into raw-fibre trade, scouring and dehairing, spinning, garment knitting, storage and online sales, with each company selecting its actual role. Every number carries year, measured population and unit rather than using 2024 cluster investment to explain a current product lot. Product enquiries separately state fibre composition, yarn count, colour, quantity and delivery. Each role states own-account or commissioned processing because ownership and responsibility differ.

  • Four measures belong to the 2024 cluster.
  • Processing, storage and selling roles do not merge.
  • Product enquiries separately state composition and yarn count.

02 · Diameter, length and contamination vary together in raw cashmere

Colour and soft handle are clues, not composition results.

Qinghe’s cashmere chain begins with raw-fibre sorting. Origin, season and collection method change fibre diameter, length, colour, coarse hair and contamination; transport and storage can add moisture or odour. Clean mass below incoming mass is not automatically abnormal because dust, grease and short contaminants are removed during processing. Bales from one origin can differ materially, so origin does not replace incoming inspection.

A soft hand may reflect fine fibre but can also follow lubricant, humidity or surface treatment. Pale material is easier to dye pale without proving finer diameter; low visible contamination does not prove a higher cashmere fraction. A grab from the bale surface can miss the compact centre or settled bottom, making test results inconsistent with actual processing loss. Residual lubricant can affect dyeing and handle, so softness is not attributed solely to natural fibre.

At receipt, weigh by bale number and record packaging, odour, colour and visible contamination. Sampling covers top, middle, bottom and several depths under a predefined composite method. The test sheet separates moisture, fibre composition, mean diameter, length distribution and coarse-hair residue. If settlement uses clean yield, both parties agree weighing conditions and retest procedure first. Dispute retesting retains the sealed and residual samples so new grabs do not distort comparison.

  • Scouring loss is separated from unexplained shortage.
  • Surface handle has several causes.
  • Multiple bale positions form a composite sample.

03 · Xinhua whole-garment knitting turns a program directly into apparel

Fewer seams do not remove yarn, sizing or care control.

Xinhua News Agency records Hebei Xinhua Cashmere Products’ involvement in Qinghe’s high-end knitting park, where shared whole-garment computerised flat knitting turns yarn directly into seamless apparel. The provincial industry department also uses Xinhua as a shared-knitting example. The evidence establishes knitting and shared-service roles, not ownership of every brand item made in the park. Capacity user, product brand and processor are named separately on the order.

Whole-garment knitting removes some cut panels and seams but places more dimensional responsibility on program, gauge, yarn tension and recovery. The same program with another yarn lot can change length and course density; machine number, feeder position and humidity affect breaks and loops. A design rendering alone cannot explain post-wash dimensional movement. Yarn recovery also changes neckline and cuff contraction, so program dimensions are not judged alone.

The first-off file fixes program revision, machine and gauge, yarn lot, colour, initial dimensions and operator. After the specified care cycle, remeasure chest, body and sleeve length and mass, then inspect pilling, skew and dropped stitches. The shared workshop maintains separate directories and material zones for customers; a program edit does not overwrite a completed order revision. Needle changes, yarn joins and program patches enter the production log for the sample garment.

  • Xinhua provides knitting and shared services.
  • Program and yarn jointly determine garment size.
  • Customer directories and materials remain separated.

04 · The percentage on a label must return to the blending scale

Composition claims span blending, opening, spinning and stock.

Qinghe processes both pure cashmere and blends with wool or other fibres. Feed proportions, machine residue, reused fibre and lot combining can change final composition while a product name may emphasise only cashmere. Once yarn is knitted, a composition dispute based on one dismantled garment gives a local sample and cannot recreate every original feed action. If blend ratios are rounded, label rules and internal recipe are agreed in advance.

A percentage on a recipe does not make the actual feed accurate; unit of measure, scale calibration and ownership of recycled fibre introduce error. Dark or different fibre from the previous batch can contaminate the next. If cones are stored only by colour without composition and lot separation, similar-looking blends can enter the wrong replenishment order. Machine clearance between dark and pale lots can be checked through first yarn and residual fibre.

The blending sheet lists source bales, target proportion, actual mass, reused-fibre origin and weigher, with machine clearance confirmed after a fibre change. Yarn labels print composition, count, colour and lot, and residual cones return to a designated bin. Before approving garment labels, reconcile feed records, yarn-composition tests and the order declaration, resolving every difference. Residual yarn needs a new work-order approval and is not merged into a similar colour automatically.

  • A cashmere product name cannot replace composition.
  • Reused-fibre origin enters the blending sheet.
  • Feed, test and label are reconciled.

05 · Weilisi yarn must speak through evenness and strength

Yarn count is a name; knitting behaviour depends on lot stability.

A Hebei industry notice places Hebei Weilisi Cashmere Textile in a Qinghe cashmere-products lead-firm programme, while environmental material confirms its Qinghe legal entity. Public business information points to cashmere processing and yarn. This evidence supports a textile-manufacturing role but does not assign cluster R&D spending to the company. Weilisi is based in Qinghe, with disclosed products centred on cashmere textiles and yarn rather than projections from old promotional figures.

Two cashmere-yarn lots of the same count can differ in fibre length, twist, evenness and knots, causing breaks, barré or density change on a flat knitting machine. Acceptable average strength can hide concentrated weak places; identical colour with different moisture regain changes settlement mass and running tension. One sample cone cannot establish lot stability or cone changes. Weak places near cone changes or joins require a different remedy from generally low strength.

A yarn enquiry states metric count, composition, twist direction, colour and intended machine gauge, with samples across spinning positions and package locations. Beyond average strength, test variation, evenness, hairiness, regain and shade; in knitting count break locations and knots per kilogram. Retain a sealed production cone and require replenishment from the same or an approved lot. The sealed cone shares the test sample’s storage environment so moisture does not undermine retesting.

  • Weilisi’s public role is cashmere textile manufacture.
  • The same yarn count can behave differently in knitting.
  • Replenishment-lot rules are agreed in advance.

06 · After washing, size and handle can move in different directions

Softness cannot hide shrinkage, pilling or skew.

After knitting, a cashmere garment may undergo milling, washing, drying, pressing and packing, each changing loop structure and surface bloom. Treatment can enrich handle while causing shrinkage, skew, colour movement or pilling. Shared whole-garment knitting reduces seams but does not remove the effects of yarn and finishing on final dimensions. Several sizes of one style are checked because shrinkage cannot be assumed from the medium size.

More intense treatment for softness can reduce fibre cohesion and increase shedding, while overly tight shrinkage control can leave the panel harsh. A post-wash percentage is unreliable if initial dimensions used inconsistent flat-measurement methods. Shrinkage behaviour for another colour or blend cannot necessarily be transferred from the base sample. Handle uses agreed terms and a reference sample so personal preference does not replace process judgement.

Before sealing the sample, fix detergent, liquor ratio, temperature, time, mechanical action and drying method and measure pre- and post-wash points from a dimension diagram. Check mass, skew, pilling, shedding and shade alongside shrinkage, with wearer or design input on handle. Sample each production lot under the same program; retain before-and-after comparison when settings change. An adjusted lot also links finishing equipment and operating period to locate recurring problems.

  • Finishing changes both handle and size.
  • Different blends cannot automatically share shrinkage.
  • Care-program changes retain before-and-after comparison.

07 · Rongcang preserves condition; it does not grade yarn

Storage, processing and testing boundaries matter especially in Qinghe.

A Hebei industry notice places Hebei Rongcang Warehousing Services in the Qinghe cashmere-products cluster, and environmental material records its Qinghe entity. Its statutory business information centres on warehousing, with limited cashmere-related processing scope. The warehousing role in its name matters; cluster location does not make it a knitted-garment manufacturer. Rongcang’s role comes from material organisation and condition control, not full-chain manufacture.

Raw cashmere and yarn are sensitive to moisture, pests, odour, light and lot mixing. A warehouse can control environment and location but cannot visually confirm fibre composition or yarn strength; a third-party report covers only the sampled material. If it also performs sorting or packing, ownership, loss and lot changes require explicit instructions. Temperature and humidity cover storage bins rather than only offices, with action for alarm gaps.

The inbound record states owner, bale or cone number, net mass, package condition, inspection status and climate requirement. Awaiting test, accepted, isolated and return zones use physical separation. Moves, opening, reweighing and repacking leave an operation record. Dispatch checks seals and balance, while retained samples from storage anomalies go to a qualified laboratory. A seal mismatch stops dispatch until moves and package opening are reconciled.

  • Rongcang is a warehousing-services entity.
  • Visual inspection cannot grade fibre.
  • Moves and package opening generate records.

08 · Walk Qinghe backwards from one shrunken sweater

An anomaly route is easier to verify than a complete-chain slogan.

Qinghe offers raw fibre, dehairing, spinning, shared knitting, finishing, storage and sales services within a compact industrial area, but the stages belong to different entities. Official material supplies context through revenue, R&D and shared-workshop information. Actual sites, processing relationships and order status still require confirmation at each stop; proximity does not establish a fixed partnership. Unconfirmed subcontracting among firms remains a service question, not an asserted relationship.

A forward tour lets every stage display its best sample. Tracing a shrunken sweater backwards exposes interfaces: verify care and garment dimensions, then program and machine, then yarn lot and strength, and finally blending and raw-fibre samples. If the lot trail breaks, the gap is clearly documentary rather than an invitation to guess from handle. The reverse route also shows whether shrinkage belongs to one shade, one machine or a whole yarn lot.

Bring a retained sample with model, colour and order lot and begin at garment inspection. Each stop adds its input, output, measurement and responsible person to one trace sheet. The warehouse explains condition preservation, the knitter program and production, the spinner yarn, and the laboratory the tested sample. List breaks and supplementary samples before assigning cause. Parties agree the position and number of additional samples to avoid selecting favourable evidence.

  • Industrial stages belong to different operators.
  • A shrunken sample is traced backwards.
  • Lot breaks are documented before cause is assigned.

Sources and reading notes

Cashmere is judged by a sampleable lot. Trade name, colour and handle cannot replace fibre composition; after scouring, dehairing, lot combining or blending, a new lot relationship is created. When a garment shrinks, pills or varies in shade, investigation travels through yarn lot, knitting parameters and finishing back to fibre instead of stopping at sewing.
