Nanjing Jiangning smart power-distribution equipment
Jiangning Smart Grid Valley concentrates distribution automation, protection and control, monitoring, communications and system integration for civilian grids, industrial parks, buildings and renewable-energy connections.
Formation and regional foundations
Nanjing power-engineering talent, anchor-company R&D and production, and Jiangning development-zone space combined into a network spanning secondary equipment, software and engineering services.
Jiangning smart distribution concentrates protection, distribution automation, switching and monitoring, communications gateways and engineering services around Smart Grid Valley. Factory assembly and testing are followed by integration into a real grid, park or building where protection settings, protocols and wiring can be verified. Reliable delivery starts with a single-line diagram and ends with reproducible trip, alarm and recovery records.

01 · The 7.7 Square Kilometres and 200-Plus Firms Describe a Valley
Area, entity count, recognition year and representative count use different denominators.
Jiangsu government information records a planned Smart Grid Valley area of about 7.7 square kilometres and more than 200 clustered firms. The industry-ministry list dates the related national specialised SME cluster recognition to 2023. NARI Technology, NR Electric and Wiscom are three local representatives verifiable in the selected public material.
Planned area describes industrial space, firm count can include research, manufacturing, software, testing and service, and the year marks a policy event. Three representatives are not a classification of the 200-plus population. Averaging area or firms yields no company plant, employment or capacity.
A valley update separately records boundary, active premises, legal entity, business role and as-of date and retains the recognition edition. Company capability instead uses products, production sites, laboratories and delivered projects. A registered entity without current operating evidence does not enter available supply.
- Park concentration cannot become product capacity or project share.
02 · A NARI Business Entry Must Resolve to Equipment and Project
Valley information establishes environment, the company site identifies the operator, and project parameters are frozen separately.
Smart Grid Valley information shows local concentration of power equipment and services, while the NARI website identifies a particular operator and business entry point. The two levels help a project find a candidate. Valley area, firm count and national recognition cannot become NARI revenue, capacity or awards.
Distribution automation can mean terminals, control software, communications, sensors or engineering integration, and projects differ in voltage, topology and operational boundary. A company and function name alone omits the supplied model and interfaces. A group brand may also involve different contracting or manufacturing entities.
A NARI engagement confirms model, quantity, manufacturer, software or firmware, protocol, associated licence and service location item by item. Design input references the approved single-line diagram and point list. A model or version change triggers renewed compatibility, test and site-rollback review.
- Model, manufacturing entity, software version and site scope must all be clear.
03 · NR Electric Protection Must Match Settings and Circuits
A company website cannot replace project setting calculations and secondary tests.
Smart Grid Valley information describes Jiangning industrial concentration, while the NR Electric website identifies another power protection and control entry point. Together they place the company in the local network. Public information does not provide the protection scheme, equipment list or engineering duties for a proposed project.
Overcurrent, differential, distance or under-frequency functions require settings based on impedance, fault current, transformers, breaker time and operating mode. Support for a function does not make default values suitable. Mismatched setting groups, logic links or versions can cause failure to trip or unwanted operation.
A project using NR Electric equipment has its setting study approved by the responsible designer, verifies functions and terminals at factory test, and repeats circuit and secondary-injection tests on site. Every download retains device, file hash, operator and time. A post-event report must reconstruct settings, oscillography and switch state.
- The same protection name can have a different operating boundary by system.
04 · National Cluster Recognition and a Low-Voltage Standard Are Not Substitutes
One evaluates an industry cluster; the other constrains product and test.
The 2023 industry-ministry cluster list confirms the Jiangning recognition, while GB/T 14048.1-2023 published by the market regulator addresses low-voltage switchgear and controlgear. The first cannot pass a device, and the second does not cover every smart-distribution software product, project or voltage level. Before applying the standard, confirm the equipment category, ratings and project voltage level.
A panel can contain switching devices, measurement and protection, communications and auxiliary power, each with further product or test requirements. One umbrella standard number cannot replace conditions for fault duty, temperature rise, insulation and electromagnetic compatibility. The tested sample must match production construction and components.
The specification states full standard numbers and versions and maps each requirement to equipment, method, conditions and decision rule. Type and routine records are checked for model, critical components and laboratory scope. A substitute switch or material triggers an assessment of tests to repeat.
- Confirm product scope before selecting test clauses.
05 · NARI and NR Electric Listed Together Do Not Create a Joint Project
Similar names and a shared city prove no supply, investment or system division.
NARI and NR Electric each maintain their own corporate and business entry. Although both names contain “NARI”, procurement records still tie quotations, device serials, commissioning staff and service promises to the contracting entity. Neither site sets out joint supply or a responsibility split for a customer project.
A distribution project may buy protection, automation, switchgear and communications from different makers or use an integrator. Equipment operating in one system does not mean the manufacturers contract with one another. Protocol compatibility proves a technical interface, not a commercial relationship or shared quality duty.
The project map separately labels owner, designer, contractor, equipment supplier, integrator, installer and operator and connects them by contract number. The equipment list retains maker, model, version and responsibility boundary. A one-sided mention remains unconfirmed rather than becoming a cooperation line.
- Contracts, joint disclosure and equipment lists must confirm a project relationship.
06 · Wiscom Capability Must Resolve to Site Interfaces and Scope
Valley concentration provides candidates; a company site cannot replace project boundaries.
Smart Grid Valley information shows several types of distribution firms, while the Wiscom website provides a third local representative entry point. The sources support including Wiscom in candidate research. More than 200 firms and 7.7 planned square kilometres do not describe Wiscom staff, products or projects.
Software configuration, gateways, panels, site wiring and long-term operations can belong to different parties. If a tender says only system integration, alarm mapping, certificate renewal or spare failure can lack an owner after energisation. More interfaces require duties down to data points and terminals.
A Wiscom project lists supplied equipment, software modules, third-party interfaces, installation tasks, commissioning access, training, spares and service term. Every interface has input, output, version and acceptor. Handover includes source files or agreed deliverables, account treatment and escalation route.
- Software, hardware, installation and operations each need a responsible party.
07 · One Trip Test Is Closer to Quality than an Industry Label
Standards compliance must reproduce under named conditions and complete circuits.
National cluster recognition shows a Jiangning industry base, and GB/T 14048.1-2023 provides general requirements for applicable low-voltage switchgear. They help select a region and set a technical baseline. A device still proves compliance by model, rating, utilisation category and environment.
Factory routine tests can reveal wiring, insulation and operating faults but do not fully reproduce site fault level, communications congestion, earthing or interlocks. Site secondary injection on one device can still miss upstream and downstream coordination. Acceptance expands from components to the complete functional chain.
The test plan builds a requirement-clause-case-result matrix and records instruments, wiring, settings, version, environment and witness. Operating time and signal path are compared item by item, and failed cases rerun after correction. Handover retains raw waveforms and logs rather than a pass statement alone.
- Type, routine, integration and site tests retain separate raw records.
08 · Close a Jiangning Project around One Feeder
Drawing, device, settings, version, test and operations share one feeder identity.
Smart Grid Valley area and firm count show dense Jiangning research and manufacturing resources, while NARI and Wiscom websites provide specific company entry points. The region supports candidate selection but cannot replace project design. Closure begins with one numbered feeder whose load and protection boundaries are clear.
The approved single-line diagram generates equipment, point, setting and communications lists, and factory tests use the same feeder code. Site work checks panel position, terminals, cables, transformer ratios and clocks before telemetry, indications, control, protection and power-loss recovery. Every change updates drawing and configuration baselines together.
Trial operation records load, alarms, errors, device restarts, protection events and maintenance response and tests backup recovery and spare replacement. Designer, supplier, installer and owner sign their responsibilities after issue closure. Replication to other feeders follows a difference assessment only after one circuit is reproducible.
- Close one real circuit before replicating to other feeders.
