Nanchong Silk Textiles
Nanchong silk textiles cover four chain stages: reeling, weaving, dyeing and apparel. Gaoping Aviation Port provides an established multi-industry setting, while the 2025 upgrading project carries a new-start key-project classification. Yilong dyeing and Pengan footwear-apparel parks remain county plans. Standards, same-line domestic and export production, and an industrial internet node point to circulation and digital upgrading.
Formation and regional foundations
Sericulture and silk production created Nanchong’s long-standing base, with Gaoping becoming a centre for weaving and apparel. Municipal policy restates four chain stages, county park plans add dyeing and garment directions, and standards plus identification-resolution projects aim to connect production with circulation. Each project retains its own year and construction status.
Nanchong’s whole-chain concept spans four processes, but does not mean every stage operates inside one park. Gaoping has an established setting and an upgrading project, whereas Yilong and Pengan are mainly planning nodes. Digital infrastructure and standards may improve traceability and market access but remain separate from operating production lines.

01 · Four stages form the chain direction
Reeling, weaving, dyeing and apparel differ.
A 2025 decision of the Nanchong municipal Party committee calls for a silk-textile and apparel cluster. It links sericulture, textiles, printing and dyeing, and garment making, and also points toward a dyeing park and garment-processing bases. This municipal framework traces a route from raw material to finished clothing, but it does not show that all four stages have reached the same scale.
The municipal decision emphasizes a complete chain. The modern-circulation plan separately calls for international and advanced standards and equivalent production lines, standards, and quality for domestic and export goods. Together these policies address production organization and market rules, but provide no company count, capacity, exports, or adoption rate from which chain completeness could be calculated.
Nanchong silk is best explored stage by stage: sericulture inputs, reeling and weaving, dyeing and finishing, then garment production. Products, firms, and industrial locations can be identified within each stage before checking how common production lines and standards apply to particular goods. This approach preserves the city’s traditional silk identity while distinguishing newer textile and apparel activity from a quantified network of company transactions.
- A whole chain is not one factory.
02 · Gaoping hosts capacity and upgrading
Zone identity and a new-start project differ.
The Sichuan Provincial Government approved the Nanchong Aviation Port Economic Development Zone in Gaoping District in 2019. Electronics, silk apparel, and home materials are its three leading industries. The approval confirms a provincial development-zone setting for silk apparel, while the coexistence of several sectors means that zone-wide figures cannot all be attributed to silk textiles.
The 2025 provincial key-project notice lists the Nanchong silk-textile and apparel upgrading project as a new-start project in Gaoping District, geographically complementing the 2019 leading-industry approval for the Aviation Port zone. Meanwhile, project listing records an annual construction category and place rather than an actual start, realized investment, capacity, or coverage of every Gaoping silk-textile firm.
In Gaoping, visitors can separately establish the Aviation Port zone boundary, the upgrading project’s exact site, its construction stage, and its intended processes. They can then ask whether dyeing, weaving, and garment operations share the same premises. Until project approval, construction, and acceptance records are available, the zone’s industry designation and the project’s 2025 new-start classification remain separate observations.
- A project category does not show completion.
03 · Yilong and Pengan remain planned nodes
Dyeing and apparel parks add distinct roles.
The Nanchong 2023 Government Work Report places a Yilong silk printing-and-dyeing park and a Pengan footwear-and-apparel park within annual plans and states an objective for above-scale silk-apparel output value, offering a dated view of county-level distribution while leaving parks and the output objective as intended arrangements rather than completed construction, tenant presence, or achieved value.
The Yilong dyeing node in the 2023 report corresponds functionally with the dyeing-park direction in the 2025 municipal decision, while Pengan sits closer to the garment end. However, the two documents span different years and do not establish continuity of one project, unchanged location, or a fixed supply relationship between Yilong and Pengan.
County-level fieldwork can examine environmental controls, heat and water supply, and project progress at the proposed Yilong dyeing park. In Pengan, the relevant questions concern footwear and apparel firms, factory premises, and logistics. Later annual information is needed to track change because one 2023 work report cannot establish spatial conditions or company performance in 2026.
- County plans are not operating capacity.
04 · Standards connect production and circulation
Standards and same-line production shape consistency.
Nanchong’s 2024 circulation plan asks silk-textile producers to engage with international and advanced standards. It also promotes common production lines, standards and quality for domestic and export goods. This direction joins factory quality with market access, but provides no list of adopted standards, coverage rate, certification outcome or split between domestic and overseas sales.
Reading the whole-chain decision beside the circulation plan shows an ambition for sericulture, textiles, dyeing, and garments to meet broader quality and market requirements. In contrast, participation in international standards and adoption of advanced standards remain directions rather than proof that all products share one grade, hold international certification, or can enter every overseas market.
Assessing equivalent supply for domestic and export markets requires a product’s applicable standard number, test report, batch, destination rules, and the scope of company implementation. National standards, industry standards, and customer requirements also need to be distinguished. The municipal plan explains the direction of change, but cannot replace quality records or trade-compliance documents for a particular batch.
- Policy direction is not product certification.
05 · The digital node remains a procurement
Identification resolution needs construction and adoption.
Sichuan public-resource information records procurement by a Nanchong state-asset operator for a silk-textile industrial-internet identification-resolution industry node, creating a specific 2024 digital-infrastructure observation while leaving the tender as evidence of a procured requirement rather than a completed platform, connected firms, valid identification data, or continuing service.
An identification-resolution node may functionally support recognition of products, firms, and chain information, while the circulation plan emphasizes standards and domestic-export transformation, suggesting a potential connection between digital infrastructure and market rules without technical architecture, coverage, user counts, standard mappings, or links to company systems that would establish whole-chain traceability.
Understanding the node’s practical value requires later dated material on award results, construction acceptance, connection rules, registered identifiers, company coverage, and service availability and clarification of whether it serves sericulture, fabric, dyeing, and garments, because a tender marks the starting point of a digital direction without measuring industry digital outcomes.
- One procurement says nothing about coverage.
06 · Chronology determines project meaning
Approval, planning, new start and procurement differ.
Nanchong’s silk-textile material forms a chronology from the 2019 provincial development-zone approval through 2023 county park plans, 2024 digital-node procurement. Additional public detail includes the 2025 new-start classification for a Gaoping upgrading project, with each node representing a different institutional or project step and no automatic conversion from one project into another or proof that a stated stage was completed.
Annual plans in a government work report, a new-start category in a key-project notice, and a tender procedure in a procurement notice carry different factual states and do not substitute for park acceptance, an actual construction start, or a completed digital node. As a result, calling all three completed would obscure distinctions among space, construction, and digital service and count capabilities not yet demonstrated.
Later tracking can seek consent, start, construction, acceptance, and service or production outcomes for each project with its precise place, project sponsor, and process scope, gradually forming a factual progress map while keeping the municipal industry direction, Gaoping upgrading project, and industrial-internet node within their own distinct evidentiary reach.
- Align factual status before comparing.
07 · Three firms provide manufacturing anchors
Jinfuchun, Yinhai and Yigeer have distinct roles.
Provincial material for Nanchong Jinfuchun Silk Co., Ltd. confirms the exact legal name, Nanchong locality, silk-textile relevance, and inclusion in the 2024 Sichuan enterprise technology-center list. Meanwhile, national standards information adds a standards context, offering a technology and standards window without present output, a product catalogue, customers, revenue, share, or measured technology-center performance.
Nanchong Yinhai Silk Co., Ltd. is likewise confirmed by the provincial enterprise technology-center list for exact identity, Nanchong locality, and silk-textile relevance, with national standards information providing a separate participation clue, establishing a role in technology organization and standards work without current capacity, sales, exports, certification scope, or market position.
The provincial list confirms Sichuan Yigeer Textiles Co., Ltd. by exact legal name, Nanchong locality, textile relevance, and 2024 enterprise technology-center status, and national standards information adds a standards context, making it a modern-textile example without procurement, ownership, customer, joint-project, capacity, or share relationships with Jinfuchun or Yinhai.
- Company names do not show shared orders.
08 · Follow one silk lot during a visit
Inspect yarn, weaving, finishing and garment responsibility.
Nanchong links sericulture with finished garments. The Gaoping Aviation Port zone supplies an established industrial setting, Yilong and Pengan represent county planning, and standards work plus an industrial-internet project add market and digital functions. Their dates and project states differ, preventing them from being combined into one measure of present capacity.
A Nanchong visit should distinguish six states: a multi-industry development zone, a county park proposal, a provincial new-start classification, an actual construction milestone, procurement of a digital node and an operating traceability service. Standards policy also does not certify every product. Company cases help locate production, but do not establish a complete register or transactions among the named firms.
The most useful later material would report firms and output by stage, sericulture-input destinations, park progress, dyeing environmental facilities, standards adoption, domestic-export mix, and digital-node connections, while current authority sources already support an industry route linking Gaoping, Yilong, Pengan, and product standards without an undisclosed growth forecast.
- Test digital traceability on a real lot.
