Mudanjiang Edible Fungi Processing
Mudanjiang fungi are measured through citywide output, annual fungus-bag scale and spent-bag management. Dongning black fungus has a separate county output and national specialty-product identity, while Hailin and Muling appear mainly in processing plans. Mixed dry-and-fresh output, bag counts and county black fungus are not directly comparable, and many value-added products remain planning directions.
Formation and regional foundations
Forest climate and black-fungus cultivation built a large bag and growing base, with Dongning becoming a production and processing core. City planning adds Hailin and Muling to the processing geography and promotes powders, snacks and beverages. Spent-bag recovery is an environmental requirement that must grow with the industry.
Mudanjiang’s figures cover different populations: mixed dry-and-fresh city output, a bag scale without an explicit statistical year, recovery across six producing counties and Dongning black-fungus output. Together they show breadth but cannot form a conversion rate. Product-directory identity, research and company cases add quality and market detail.
Core geography: Mudanjiang with fungi nodes in Dongning, Hailin and Muling
Mudanjiang fungi nodes
Production, processing geography and bag recovery
Municipal and county measures remain separate.
- Mudanjiang edible-fungi city observation frame — The municipal node carries production baselines and processing plans.
- Hailin planned edible-fungi processing focus — Hailin is a named processing focus in the plan.
- Muling planned edible-fungi processing focus — Muling holds another county processing role.
- Dongning cultivation and processing-direction node — Dongning joins black-fungus cultivation, output and processing.
- Six-county spent-bag management network — The six-county network collects and treats spent bags.
- Dongning Black Fungus national product-directory node — The national directory confirms Dongning Black Fungus identity.
- Multi-product advanced-processing planning direction — Value-added plans include powders, snacks and beverages.
01 · Citywide output is the first baseline
The 2023 output mixes dry and fresh forms.
The 2023 statistical communiqué in the Mudanjiang yearbook records 225,000 tonnes of citywide edible-fungi output, up 4.4 percent. Its mixed dry-and-fresh agricultural definition provides a dated view of the cultivation base. It is not processed-food weight, finished-product sales, installed capacity or revenue, and it cannot be converted directly from fungus-bag counts.
An environmental authority case separately describes a scale of about 2.3 billion fungus bags annually without stating a precise statistical year, whereas the yearbook’s 225,000 tonnes carries a 2023 date and a mixed dry-fresh definition. As a result, the two observations concern an input vessel and agricultural output and cannot yield an average without bag loading, fruiting rate, moisture, and loss information.
A comparison with another fungi city should first align fresh, dry, or mixed measurement, then match geography, year, and species composition and display bag count separately. This is because the present sources reveal two useful dimensions of Mudanjiang’s raw-material base and production organization without supporting a 2023 yield per bag or processing-conversion rate derived from an undated 2.3-billion-bag statement.
- A mixed measure does not compare single products.
02 · Value-added processing has many routes
Preserves, powders, snacks and drinks differ.
Mudanjiang’s 2024–2026 agricultural-processing plan places edible fungi among six municipal priorities. It names factory-grown black fungus, freeze-dried, preserved, canned, quick-frozen, and powdered products, as well as ingredients, biscuits, ready-to-eat foods, compound fungus drinks, and health products. The range spans basic shelf-life extension and several consumer applications.
The processing plan describes a future range of products, whereas the statistical yearbook supplies mixed dry-and-fresh agricultural output for 2023. Together they connect raw-material supply with possible processing routes. They do not report how inputs are allocated, which technologies existing firms use or the sales mix of finished goods. The planned catalogue therefore cannot be read as equally established current categories.
Understanding the product landscape is easier when freeze-dried and quick-frozen goods, canned and ready-to-eat foods, powders and ingredients, and compound beverages are followed as separate routes through species, processing permission, formula, shelf conditions. Other reported elements include sales setting, avoiding a merger of fresh fungus, dried fungus, and industrial ingredients while leaving each company’s actual range to its own labels and permissions.
- A plan is not a current catalogue.
03 · Dongning anchors black-fungus production
County output complements national product identity.
Dongning’s 2024 statistical communiqué records forty-seven thousand and thirty-three point two tonnes of ground-cultivated black fungus, up three point seven percent, production value of about RMB three point seven three billion, up one half of one percent. Further detail covers value added of about RMB two point four three billion or twenty-eight point two percent of Dongning GDP, all of which belong to the county-level cultivation and raw-output layer rather than Mudanjiang-wide processing.
The environmental authority account says Dongning’s comprehensive edible-fungi industry value exceeded RMB 6.8 billion in 2024 and describes extension from cultivation into advanced processing and sales. Alongside this, the statistical communiqué separates black-fungus cultivation from RMB 327.37 million in gross output for all food processing, leaving comprehensive chain value, raw production value, and all-food manufacturing as different populations that cannot be subtracted to infer fungi-processing revenue.
A Dongning visit can treat cultivation bases, spawn and machinery laboratories, the fungus market, and processors as separate nodes and seek annual measures for each. This is because the 2023 observations of 910 million bags and more than RMB 3.6 billion do not form a simple growth series with the 2024 ground-cultivated output when units, measured populations, and sector coverage differ.
- Dongning does not represent every city fungus.
04 · Hailin and Muling enter the plan
Two counties hold planned processing roles.
Mudanjiang’s agricultural-processing plan names Hailin, Muling, and Dongning as priority areas for edible-fungi processing clusters. This gives formal support to a multi-county geography. It is a planning designation rather than the legal boundary of one continuous park, and it supplies no county-by-county company count, current capacity, product division, or logistics pattern.
The environmental case mentions six main producing counties and thirty-two temporary spent-bag collection sites, while the plan names three processing focus areas, describing production coverage and processing priority rather than one identical list. The absence of another producing county from the focus-area wording does not establish that it lacks cultivation, primary processing, or recovery activity.
A useful map can begin with a Mudanjiang gateway, show the three planned processing nodes of Hailin, Muling, and Dongning. A careful review should place the environmental-management network on a separate layer with dates and functions attached, avoiding intercounty supply arrows or a continuous industrial-belt polygon until plant locations, park boundaries, road flows, and company relationships are documented.
- A planned focus is not a completed park.
05 · Spent-bag recovery accompanies growth
Six counties and collection sites form the network.
The Mudanjiang environmental authority case records six main edible-fungi producing counties, thirty-two temporary collection sites for spent fungus bags. Further detail covers a 91 percent recovery and disposal rate by 2024, showing that post-use collection and treatment are material parts of industry governance while leaving the 91 percent as an environmental recovery measure rather than product pass rate, recovered-product share, or production quality.
The 225,000-tonne mixed output and approximate 2.3-billion-bag scale show a substantial cultivation context. At the same time, the environmental measure addresses collection and treatment of used carriers, yet dates and definitions do not fully align, preventing calculation of an absolute untreated bag count from 91 percent or an inference about environmental performance per unit of product.
A deeper view of circular management would examine collection-site coverage, transfer frequency, final treatment, reuse products, seasonal peaks, and environmental monitoring and distinguish recovery from material reuse, because the present account establishes a network and a 2024 rate without site capacity, company allocation, or destinations of resulting materials.
- Recovery rate is not product quality.
06 · Product identity and research differ
The directory confirms identity; research supports quality.
Entry 171 in the Agricultural Product Quality and Safety Center’s third 2024 directory lists Dongning Black Fungus, its certificate number, Dongning Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau as certificate holder, a product-area scale of 10,000 hectares. Further detail covers Shanyou, Hongfu, and Beiyu Liangren as principal production and operating entities, with the area belonging to the product and county rather than any one firm.
The Dongning government work report records fourteen national, provincial, and municipal laboratories involving spawn and fungus machinery and names Shanyou with a planned advanced-processing base. Meanwhile, the product directory identifies Dongning Black Fungus and three principal entities, leaving research support, project direction, and product identity as separate observations that cannot substitute for company capacity.
Selecting a Dongning Black Fungus product calls for the named producer, package batch, origin mark, annual certificate status, and sampling information, with the 10,000 hectares retained at the county-product layer. Meanwhile, visits to research or processing projects should confirm laboratory level, equipment use, and construction progress rather than treating a directory, laboratory count, or project concept as a firm-level quality guarantee.
- Product identity does not certify a company.
07 · Three firms sit in the Dongning line
Weiduobao, Shanyou and Beiyu Liangren differ.
Agricultural authority material for Heilongjiang Weiduobao Food Co., Ltd. identifies it as a black-fungus base creation entity with a named technical partner, while Beijing market-regulator sampling material identifies its Suifenhe production address, a Northeast black-fungus product. The public description also notes one compliant batch, leaving neither creation-list status nor a single batch as proof of completed acceptance, annual output, current capacity, revenue, or continuing performance.
Dongning Shanyou Edible Fungi Technology R&D Co., Ltd. is listed as a principal production and operating entity for Dongning Black Fungus in the national specialty-product directory. The Dongning work report records a high-technology-enterprise context and places an advanced-processing base among 2024 tasks, while the base remains planned and the county’s 10,000 hectares cannot become company area or output.
Dongning Beiyu Liangren Mountain Delicacies Food Co., Ltd. appears as a principal Dongning Black Fungus production and operating entity in the national directory, and market-regulator sampling material confirms its Suiyang Town production address, a black-fungus product. Further detail covers one compliant batch, offering an entity and product window without continuous operation, annual output, current capacity, revenue, share, or supply relationships.
- The cases are not a full producer list.
08 · Follow one black-fungus batch
Inspect bags, cultivation, drying, grading and packing.
Mudanjiang’s fungi industry begins with citywide mixed dry-and-fresh output and a large cultivation-bag base. Hailin, Muling, and Dongning carry planned processing roles; varied food routes extend value; and spent-bag recovery addresses an environmental burden. Production, processing, comprehensive chain value, and recovery rates remain distinct measures rather than one ranking figure.
A sound Mudanjiang comparison keeps six boundaries intact. Dongning county figures stay local; 2.3 billion bags are not converted into 225,000 tonnes; comprehensive chain value is not recast as processing revenue; food manufacturing is not assigned wholly to fungi; 10,000 hectares are not allocated to one company; and the RMB 20 billion objective remains a target. These distinctions preserve useful facts without creating a false total.
The most useful later information would split annual output by dry-fresh basis and species, report actual processing and sales, identify firms and parks in Hailin, Muling, and Dongning, trace final destinations of spent bags, state annual directory status. Document project acceptance, while current authority material already supports an industry route from raw-material bases through products to circular management without an undisclosed forecast.
- Separate plans from operating lines.
