Mianyang Smart Home Appliances

Mianyang smart appliances rest on Changhong manufacturing, a development-zone component cluster and smart-home parks. Tangxun has a reported built area, while the Meiling base appears through proposed investment, environmental procedure, construction procurement and planned capacity. The two-million-unit design and one-million-unit single-shift figures use different definitions and are not current output or additive capacity.

Formation and regional foundations

Television and appliance manufacturing built assembly, component and R&D capabilities before smart-home products added connected controls and household services. The development zone hosts suppliers through a specialist cluster and parks, while the Meiling washer project adds a new manufacturing plan. A project still passes through several stages between disclosure and production.

Mianyang combines established manufacturing with newer projects. Changhong companies show existing products and benchmark settings, Tangxun describes spatial capacity, and the Meiling base should be followed through investment, environmental, procurement, construction and commissioning stages. Capacity figures become comparable only under matched definitions.

Core geography: Mianyang development zone, Tangxun smart-home park and the Songya Meiling project

Mianyang smart-appliance nodes

Components, parks, products and project stages

Existing manufacturing is separated from proposed capacity.

  • Mianyang smart-appliance city observation frame — The city node connects appliance manufacturing, parks and projects.
  • Mianyang development-zone core-component specialty cluster — The development-zone cluster focuses on core smart-appliance components.
  • Tangxun smart-home industrial park — Tangxun park provides manufacturing and R&D space for smart-home products.
  • Sichuan Changhong flat-panel television benchmark context — Sichuan Changhong anchors a flat-panel television benchmark setting.
  • Songya Meiling base environmental-procedure node — The Songya Meiling base carries environmental and design-stage information.
  • Meiling base construction-procurement node — The procurement node records tender and bid-evaluation progress.
  • Washer corporate-planning node — The corporate plan provides investment and single-shift capacity definitions.

01 · Manufacturing spans several nodes

The city, zone and project sites differ.

The authoritative geography of Mianyang smart appliances begins in the Economic and Technological Development Zone, where the zone account identifies a provincial SME specialty cluster for core terminal components and describes a completed 234,000-square-metre smart-home park. Alongside this, a separate investment-opportunity account places a planned project in Tangxun Subdistrict on about 125,000 square metres of land with roughly 232,000 square metres of floor area, so the two area measures describe different objects rather than one interchangeable total.

The provincial specialty cluster emphasizes core terminal components, whereas the environmental authority material for the Meiling smart-appliance base points to a proposed Songya Town location, factory buildings, and washer lines, together revealing functional layers of components, finished appliances. Industrial premises without supplying procurement counterparties, freight flows, ownership links, or a municipal perimeter, which limits mapped connections to the functions actually described.

A practical visit can treat the Tangxun smart-home park as a spatial and investment setting and the Meiling base in the public-resource notice as a specific project with documented construction procurement, then separately examine roads, utilities, building delivery. Tenant presence, because the available material neither establishes that the two footprints are identical nor demonstrates that every planned building is complete or producing stable output.

  • Nearby sites are not one statistical unit.

02 · Products and components support each other

Televisions, air conditioners and washers differ.

The four-ministry smart-manufacturing announcement and attachment list Sichuan Changhong Electric Co., Ltd. for a flat-panel television benchmark smart-manufacturing factory and identify associated manufacturing scenarios, providing a national-level window into television production and digital manufacturing methods connected with Mianyang. Meanwhile, the attachment names only Sichuan Province, requires separate statutory evidence for the Mianyang location, and offers no basis for calculating actual volume or market share.

The development-zone specialty cluster for core components and the drum-washer design described for the Meiling base show that Mianyang’s appliance story spans several product layers, including component support, television sets, air conditioning. A washer project, but Current public information does not create one comprehensive catalogue, so the firms cannot be assigned to a single technology route and the design scale of one project cannot represent other appliance categories.

The listed television benchmark and the still-planned washer project describe different kinds of manufacturing evidence. The former recognizes particular production scenarios; the latter gives a proposed investment, single-shift capacity, and expected production date. Their products, years, and project states differ, so they cannot support an efficiency ranking or be added as current installed capacity.

  • The appliance label cannot replace product detail.

03 · Benchmarks show established capability

Flat-panel television reflects Changhong’s experience.

Four national bodies jointly formed the 2022 list: the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, and the State Administration for Market Regulation. Sichuan Changhong’s flat-panel television benchmark and named scenarios therefore have a clear date and institutional basis. The recognition concerns selected practices, not universal adoption across Mianyang’s appliance sector.

Reading the national list beside the development-zone account separates two evidentiary layers: one describes flat-panel television scenarios at a single company and the other describes regional industrial organization and park premises. This enrich one another without revealing whether particular component suppliers serve that factory, which interfaces they use, or how much value they contribute.

A deeper assessment of digital manufacturing would look for later like-for-like outcomes from the same factory, such as yield, energy intensity, equipment utilization, delivery cycle, and quality traceability. This is because the list answers which scenarios were selected rather than supplying operating results, and a visit should distinguish a demonstrated scenario from the extent of adoption across the whole plant.

  • A benchmark is not citywide adoption.

04 · Tangxun hosts smart-home activity

Built area describes space, not total output.

The economic-cooperation account locates the smart-home industrial park in Tangxun Subdistrict and lists about 125,000 square metres of land, roughly 232,000 square metres of planned floor area, thirteen factory buildings, one research building. Other reported elements include one support building, while the development-zone publication describes 234,000 square metres as built, and the close numbers still carry different objects and wording that should not be substituted without explanation.

The Tangxun investment opportunity describes available space and the positioning of one representative smart-home project. It does not provide a complete register of signed or resident firms, jobs, realized investment, occupancy, or product output. The park can therefore be used to study the arrangement of research, manufacturing, and support functions, but not to claim that every building is full or that a closed supply chain already operates there.

Before visiting, a traveler can confirm the Tangxun entrance, access arrangements, and the distribution of research and factory buildings, then ask which premises are delivered and which remain under construction. At the same time, a location comparison also needs separate evidence on energy, logistics, labor, environmental permissions, and services because the two official accounts establish only place, planned composition, and industrial positioning.

  • Park area cannot produce a firm count.

05 · The Meiling project follows a timeline

Disclosure, review, procurement and building differ.

The April 2025 statutory disclosure proposed investment of about RMB 520 million, single-shift annual capacity of one million washers, and expected production in August 2026. Alongside this, the environmental authority’s October proposed-approval material described the same approximate investment and a design basis of two million drum washers annually, and the shared amount does not erase the difference between a single-shift corporate plan and an environmental design measure.

The proposed-approval material identifies intended location, project sponsor, buildings, and line design, and the construction bid-evaluation result records progress in procurement, yet neither procedural source by itself establishes final approval, engineering acceptance, equipment commissioning, production permission, or actual output. As a result, each dated node should retain its own procedural meaning when placed on a timeline.

Project progress should be traced through dated milestones: the final environmental decision, construction permit, structural completion, equipment installation, trial production, and stable output. August 2026 was the company’s expectation at the time, not a guarantee. Keeping that distinction shows movement from investment decision to construction procurement without counting future capacity as existing Mianyang production.

  • Procedural progress is not commissioning.

06 · Two capacity definitions do not add

Design and single-shift capacity are different.

The 234,000 square metres described as built, roughly 232,000 square metres of planned floor area, and about 125,000 square metres of land represent an official park account, a building plan, and a land measure respectively. Their common unit does not create a common population, so side-by-side display can explain scale while addition, subtraction, or a completion ratio would create an unsupported result.

The one-million-unit single-shift plan and two-million-unit environmental design value for the Meiling project reveal different production assumptions but neither is actual output or directly additive with televisions, air conditioners, or other categories. At the same time, the approximate RMB 520 million is a project investment plan rather than municipal appliance revenue, a fixed-asset stock, or realized expenditure.

A cross-city comparison can separate recognition, park space, projects in progress, and measured operations, using numbers only when year, product, and factual state align. This is because Mianyang’s available material is rich on manufacturing scenarios, industrial premises, and proposed investment while providing no unified municipal appliance output value, company count, exports, or market share.

  • Planned capacity is not actual output.

07 · Three Changhong firms have distinct roles

Electric, air-conditioner and smart-home entities differ.

Statutory material for Sichuan Changhong Electric Co., Ltd. establishes its Mianyang registered address and headquarters and describes appliance manufacturing and television activities. In contrast, the national list adds a flat-panel television smart-manufacturing context, making the company a useful window into finished-appliance production without converting address or list status into current output, market share, customer structure, or municipal leadership.

The national pollutant-permit register for Sichuan Changhong Air Conditioner Co., Ltd. confirms the legal name, a production address at 128 Sanjiang Avenue in the development zone, the household air-conditioner manufacturing category. A latest update of 19 May 2025, establishing identity, place, and sector relevance without disclosing models, licensed capacity, actual production, revenue, or market position.

Statutory disclosure for Mianyang Changhong Smart Home Appliance Co., Ltd. confirms its formation date, Tangxun Subdistrict address, and appliance research, manufacturing, and sales scope, while project material connects it with the Meiling base and washer proposal. However, the approximate RMB 520 million, one-million single-shift plan, and two-million design value remain project measures rather than achieved output or a stated market share.

  • Contracts need the correct legal entity.

08 · Follow one appliance during a visit

Inspect components, assembly, testing and connectivity.

Mianyang smart appliances have three visible layers. The development-zone component cluster and smart-home park provide industrial space; Changhong’s flat-panel television benchmark shows an established manufacturing capability; and the Meiling washer project points to a new product line. Different institutions confirmed these elements at different times, so their scale cannot be compressed into one number.

The principal reading risks are treating proposed environmental approval as final consent, a bid-evaluation result as completed construction, an expected start date as production already under way, design capacity as actual output, or a single-company benchmark as a citywide condition. Alongside this, preserving those boundaries still allows a clear chronology of investment decision, environmental procedure, and construction procurement.

The most valuable later information would cover actual tenancy and space use, like-for-like output by appliance category, supplier geography, conversion of research results, project acceptance, and quality and energy outcomes. Alongside this, the present authoritative material is already sufficient to organize an industry visit around the development zone, the smart-home park, and specific manufacturing projects without supporting an undisclosed growth forecast.

  • Check new-project progress separately.
