Longquan automotive air-conditioning components

Refrigerant leaks, weak heat exchange and fan vibration arise in different processes. A reliable assessment links tube and fin lots, brazing run, cleanliness, valve behaviour, assembly pressure test and vehicle thermal cycle rather than using one static cooling result for every risk.

Formation and regional foundations

Longquan expanded from fittings and conventional A/C parts toward heat exchangers, control valves, fans and EV thermal management. Firms may share material, brazing and test resources, while refrigerant, interface, pressure and vehicle validation remain product- and platform-specific.

A Longquan A/C component review returns exchangers, pipes, valves and fans to the circuit and traces material, forming, brazing, cleanliness, leak, performance and vehicle validation. Conventional A/C and EV thermal management do not share one rated duty.

Core geography: Centred on Longquan development zone, Dasha and Huigui automotive areas, covering vehicle A/C heat exchangers, pipes and fittings, valves, fans and related thermal parts. Household refrigeration, complete vehicles and general machining are excluded.

Thermal-component network from material to vehicle cycle

Six nodes across input, forming, joining, assembly, test and vehicle

A shared manufacturing base does not mean shared refrigerant, duty or approval.

  • Tube, fin and component inputs — Aluminium, fittings, braze, fans and valve cores enter by lot.
  • Forming and machining — Bending, fin stamping, flaring and fittings establish geometry.
  • Brazing and joining — Furnace, atmosphere, gap and post-cleaning govern sealing.
  • Valve, fan and assembly — Valves, sensors, fans and exchangers assemble by interface.
  • Leak and performance test — Pressure, helium leak, heat, flow, noise and vibration are judged separately.
  • Vehicle cycle and trace — Serial identity links furnace, material, test and vehicle duty.

01 · Draw the thermal circuit first

The same part name does not mean the same refrigerant, pressure or control.

Review begins with vehicle platform, refrigerant, compressor and circuit, locating condenser, evaporator, pipes, valves and fans. Without a system diagram, isolated flow or heat-transfer figures are easily misread.

Conventional A/C centres on cabin cooling and engine heat, while EVs may integrate battery, motor and heat pump. Similar interfaces are not interchangeable when pressure, fluid or control strategy differs.

The Longquan cluster covers component and thermal-management manufacturing; it does not turn every local auto-parts firm into an A/C producer. Inclusion requires actual product, site and manufacturing evidence.

02 · Material lots set bending and brazing windows

Wall, temper and residue can later become leak sites.

Aluminium tube, sheet and fin are checked for grade, temper, wall, geometry and surface; elastomer seals and plastics add refrigerant compatibility and ageing. Certificates stay tied to coil or heat identity.

During bending, ovality, thinning, wrinkling and springback affect flow and package space. Passing external shape does not prove internal cleanliness or adequate wall at the fitting.

Fin thickness, louvre geometry and hydrophilic surface affect air-side pressure drop and drainage, so metal weight alone is inadequate. Stamping oil and particles left behind enter brazing or the circuit.

03 · Joining must preserve sealing at every seam

A neat seam may still hide poor wetting, pores or residue.

Furnace brazing records profile, atmosphere, belt speed, loading and braze lot; flame brazing controls heat position and time. Post-braze appearance screens defects but does not replace leak or pressure tests.

Crimped or threaded fittings control insertion, compression, torque and seal orientation. Repair heating changes material condition and residue, so repair count and retest are explicit.

Post-braze cleanliness distinguishes particles, oil, flux and moisture with a defined sampling method. Acceptable total contamination can still hide one large particle capable of blocking a valve or damaging a compressor.

04 · Valves and fans turn a thermal path into a controlled system

Flow, response, noise and failure position belong together.

Expansion, solenoid and heater valves are validated for differential pressure, flow, leakage, response and temperature. A sound body with mismatched coil, drive or seal can still lose control.

Electronic fans record speed, airflow, current, balance, vibration and acoustics with impeller-clearance checks. No-load speed on a bench does not represent installed resistance or resonance.

Technology rosters prove local development of these parts but not that every model entered one vehicle platform. Mass-production status still follows customer approval, supply record and revision.

05 · A leak pass still needs medium and sensitivity

Water, pressure-decay and helium tests see different defect scales.

Proof pressure shows that structure avoids rupture or permanent deformation; leak testing then checks allowable loss. Pressure, dwell, temperature, medium and fixture volume all influence results.

Helium finds smaller leaks, but tracer concentration, calibrated leak and units must be stated. Directly exchanging a helium rate with a bubble result erases the method boundary.

Production testing monitors zero, temperature drift and fixture seals, retaining false-leak and missed-leak records. Carton and serial identity must return to programme and calibration status.

06 · Heat transfer belongs with flow, temperature and pressure drop

One power figure cannot explain system efficiency or cabin experience.

A heat-exchanger bench fixes inlet states, flow, humidity, air volume and stability on both sides, reporting heat transfer and both pressure drops. Peak values alone cannot compare unlike duties.

Fin blockage, fan maldistribution, internal residue and refrigerant imbalance can make vehicle performance worse than a component bench. Assembly validation retains mounting, duct and control logic.

EV heat pumps add low-temperature heating, defrost and switching between battery and cabin loads. One rated point on a conventional cooling bench cannot represent these transitions.

07 · Vehicle cycles expose interaction among brackets, hoses and control

A bench-qualified part can still leak or resonate under installation stress.

Vehicle and chamber validation covers thermal cycling, vibration, pressure pulsation, starts and speeds. Routing, clamps and clearances match production assembly.

Noise analysis separates airflow, motor orders, refrigerant flow and structural resonance. Overall sound pressure alone can miss a tonal peak or intermittent knock at one duty.

Field returns preserve refrigerant state, installation and fault codes before leak checks or sectioning. Cleaning or retightening first can erase the most important evidence.

08 · Cluster collaboration rests on platforms, skills and trace records

A shared laboratory lowers barriers but cannot carry a producer’s responsibility.

Longquan firms cover exchangers, pipes, valves and fans, allowing nearby coordination of material, tools and tests. The three samples show distinct roles and do not imply a jointly manufactured system.

Public testing states accreditation scope, method revision, sample state and uncertainty, while firms retain process and shipment evidence. A platform report does not replace vehicle-platform approval.

Moving into EV thermal management is not a relabelled legacy part; it adds refrigerant compatibility, controls, low-temperature duties and system safety. Each new capability remains tied to a legal entity, line and production status.

Sources and reading notes

Government and technology rosters establish cluster, entity and product direction; official sites check actual products and address. Planning, signing, R&D recognition and mass supply remain distinct states.

  • The MIIT list confirms the national name of Longquan’s automotive A/C component cluster.
  • Local material identifies automotive thermal management as an extension of the established component base.
  • Technology rosters separately record A/C piping R&D and electronic-fan and heater-valve products.
  • Ouyadi’s official site confirms its Longquan address and condenser, heater and oil-cooler products.
