Kashgar Specialty Agri-food Processing Network

Kashgar agri-food processing extends across Shule, Yuepuhu, Yengisar, Bachu, Yecheng, Shache, Jiashi, Zepu and other counties. Fruit grading and storage, grain and naan, livestock products, agricultural parks and cold logistics form a prefecture-wide network rather than one Kashgar City cluster.

Formation and regional foundations

Oasis farming and specialty fruit provide the raw-material base, while county parks add grading, preservation and processing. Prefecture planning links production areas with parks and logistics nodes, and first-half 2025 statistics give a dated view of enterprise count, output, revenue and leading firms.

From fruit and nuts to grain, naan and livestock products, Kashgar’s processing routes spread across a wide prefecture. Shelf life, seasonality and transport distance determine where grading, cooling, storage and processing belong, and prevent prefecture totals from being assigned to one county or park.

Core geography: Kashgar Prefecture’s multi-county fruit, grain and livestock-processing network

Kashgar Prefecture Agri-food Processing Network

How Fruit, Staples, Livestock, Parks and Cold Logistics Connect

Nodes summarise prefecture functions without replacing county boundaries, routes or transaction evidence.

  • Kashgar Prefecture processing network — Multiple counties and parks form the regional system.
  • Specialty fruit processing — Grading, cooling, storage and processing follow harvests.
  • Grain and naan foods — Flour, formulation, baking and packaging form the staple route.
  • Green livestock products — Slaughter, processing, inspection and cooling form another system.
  • Modern agricultural parks — Parks combine farming, services and processing projects.
  • Agri-processing parks — County facilities host processing and storage.
  • Cold logistics and outbound routes — Distant markets rely on cooling, packaging and transport.

01 · Starting with the Scale of Kashgar Prefecture

A prefecture network is larger than one city.

The correct geography for the Kashgar specialty agri-food processing entry is a Kashgar Prefecture regional network, not an ordinary Kashgar City cluster. The six government records separately cover prefecture planning, the dated 2024 modern-agricultural-park total, first-half 2025 processing statistics, a prefecture-level leading-enterprise monitoring list, a rural-revitalisation plan, and a 2022 park-construction arrangement. Shule, Yuepuhu, Yingjisha, Bachu, Yecheng, Shache, Jiashi, Zepu, and other county contexts remain distinct and must not be shortened into Kashgar City facts.

Kashgar can denote a prefecture, a county or county-level city, a park, or part of a company name, so every item needs its administrative level. A prefecture statistic cannot be apportioned to a county by population, area, or number of products, and a county park direction does not prove unified capacity across the prefecture. Proposed 2022 arrangements, the 2024 park observation, and first-half 2025 results occupy different temporal states. Combining them as one completed city-level chain would confuse geography, planning tense, and statistical population at the same time.

Kashgar Prefecture is extensive, so county products need separate treatment. Bachu cotton, Yecheng walnuts and livestock, Shache almonds, Jiashi prunes and melons, Yengisar apricots, Yuepuhu figs and Zepu dates follow their own seasons and processing conditions. A prefecture total reaches county level only through an explicit allocation.

  • Prefecture statistics are not Kashgar City figures.

02 · What the Four First-half Figures Measure

Firm count, output, revenue and leading status differ.

In the first half of 2025, Kashgar Prefecture recorded 450 agri-processing enterprises, output of RMB 11.697 billion and operating revenue of RMB 10.619 billion. It also counted 258 prefecture-level-or-higher leading agricultural-industrialisation enterprises. The first three are half-year regional measures, while the last is a list count.

Enterprise count, output, operating revenue and leading-enterprise count use different units and populations. They cannot be added, and the 258 cannot be assumed to sit wholly within the 450. Output and revenue are neither profit nor value added, so their difference does not reveal losses, inventory or subsidies; individual shares require company-level information.

Later comparisons work best with the same authority, enterprise definition, currency unit and half-year period. A new annual, county or single-park result should sit beside the current prefecture statistics rather than being doubled or inserted into the total. Changes in size thresholds or industrial classification also begin a new series.

  • The four half-year measures lack one denominator.

03 · Post-harvest Time Shapes Fruit-processing Locations

Grading, cooling and storage directly affect loss.

The regional Fourteenth Five-year outline identifies fruit and agricultural by-product processing as priorities and describes grading, storage, preservation, and deeper-processing tasks. A 2022 park implementation plan separately lists proposed national, autonomous-region, or prefecture-level directions for Yecheng walnut, Shache almond, Jiashi prune and melon, Yingjisha Semaite apricot, Yuepuhu fig, and Zepu jujube. Together these records define a specialty-fruit node, but proposed applications and construction arrangements do not establish final recognition, commissioning, or present processing scale.

A product name establishes only a category and county planning context. It does not show that all fruit enters one warehouse, processor, or sales channel. Where a park level is proposed, it cannot become a completed national park, and a county direction inherits none of the 450 enterprises or two economic measures for the entire prefecture. Grading, cold storage, drying, beverages, or ingredient steps remain possible processing stages without project, permission, or acceptance records; they are not an installed-equipment list and cannot be inferred from a company name.

For a field visit, a county-level table can track product, season, park status, storage conditions, processing permission, and market channel. First determine whether a proposed 2022 direction later received formal recognition, then check any change in park authority, address, or leading product. A 2024 prefecture-wide park total is not allocated to a county. Procurement or cooperation judgments also need evidence for the current batch, quality standard, testing, inventory, and contract; a regional plan cannot substitute for one company’s ability to supply.

  • Post-harvest handling determines fruit market life.

04 · Grain, Naan and Livestock Need Separate Routes

Food processes and temperature controls vary by product.

Regional plans place naan, grain-and-flour foods, and green livestock-product processing beside specialty fruit and direct capacity toward grain-and-oil, cotton, livestock, and other principal production areas, advantageous zones, and logistics nodes. The 2022 park plan adds county directions such as Bachu cotton and Yecheng livestock, showing that the regional network contains several raw-material and food contexts. These are category and spatial directions, not a continuous production-line diagram, and they do not show materials moving between counties or joint handling by the three example companies.

Membership in agri-processing does not mean grain, naan, vegetable protein, and livestock products share equipment, permissions, or quality systems. Kashgar Chenguang Vegetable Protein Co., Ltd. Has a separately dated cottonseed-utilisation project context, but that does not connect the Bachu cotton direction, a Yuepuhu County company identity, and the prefecture network into a procurement route. The livestock node likewise gains no slaughter, cold-chain, or sales capacity from a Yecheng park direction. Regional co-appearance, adjacent product categories, and monitoring-qualified status establish no order, supply, or technology transfer.

A visit to grain-food or livestock-product operations starts with the precise product and applicable standard, followed by separate checks of production permissions, animal-health or food-safety requirements, facility address, validity, and supervision records. A cottonseed-utilisation project needs its operator, construction location, approvals, acceptance, and actual operating period rather than conversion of a project description into present capacity. Cross-county logistics requires a carriage contract, warehouse record, or authority material; without such evidence, a map displays only regional product context and no flow arrows between companies.

  • Staples and meat follow different safety controls.

05 · How to Read the Twenty-one Agricultural Parks

Park counts are not plant counts or output.

In October 2024, Kashgar Prefecture recorded 21 modern agricultural parks: one national, four autonomous-region and 16 prefecture-level. It also reported 294 resident enterprises, 823 cooperatives and an incomplete count of 41,780 stable jobs. A July 2025 count of 23 prefecture-level-or-higher parks plus two processing parks uses different wording and cannot by itself show a net increase of two.

Modern agricultural parks, agricultural-product processing parks, and proposed 2022 parks are three evidence objects. The values 21 and 23 may reflect recognition batches, reference dates, or definition changes, and need matching lists before comparison. The two processing parks cannot simply be added to 23 to make 25. Resident enterprises, cooperatives, and employment describe all regional agricultural parks, with employment explicitly incomplete; they are neither exact nor restricted to agri-processing. No individual park automatically inherits the four prefecture processing metrics.

Park checking can retain formal name, level, recognising authority, designation date, management boundary, leading product, and present status, with proposed, application, creation, and recognition in separate fields. Only an official itemised list can reconcile 21 and 23 as additions, upgrades, exits, or renaming; until then they remain two dated snapshots. Enterprise residency needs an address or park register, a cooperative linkage needs its specific mechanism, and employment retains the counting method rather than being estimated for one park from a regional total.

  • Park counts do not represent factory capacity.

06 · How Logistics Nodes Extend Market Reach

Cold-chain stability determines quality over distance.

The 2021 regional development outline and the 2023 rural-revitalisation linkage plan both direct processing capacity toward principal or advantageous fruit, cotton, livestock, grain-and-oil areas and logistics nodes. They also describe warehousing, cold chain, market connection, and cultivation of leading enterprises at different levels. The rural plan includes end-of-plan targets for primary-processing and deeper-processing rates and enterprise counts. Every target expresses a future task or policy direction, not an attained ratio, existing facility count, or performance measure for a county or company.

Logistics and market access are regional support nodes showing an intended improvement in product circulation. They do not prove that a logistics provider serves any of the three example companies or that a fixed route connects cold stores, trains, and markets. End-of-plan targets and first-half 2025 results occupy different states; proximity between numbers does not yield an attainment rate unless population, denominator, and cut-off date match exactly. Planned concentration is neither ownership nor a mandated procurement arrangement and does not establish shared warehousing or unified sales.

The reach of Kashgar products depends on the actual service capacity of rail, roads, air links, ports, cold stores and wholesale markets. Company use of a node needs transport, warehousing or bilateral business records, while plan delivery needs authority acceptance or comparable statistics. Without results, a logistics node remains potential infrastructure rather than an established company route.

  • Distant markets depend on traceable temperature records.

07 · Jiamei, Chenguang and Woguoyuan

Company lists confirm bounded county and product roles.

Kashgar Jiamei Agricultural Technology Food Co., Ltd. appears under Shule County in the 2025 monitoring-qualified list. The list confirms its dated name, county position and qualified status without defining a product range or current output, revenue, customers or continuing operation.

Kashgar Chenguang Vegetable Protein Co., Ltd. appears under Yuepuhu County in the same list, while separate public information links it with a cottonseed-utilisation project. Together they show identity and a bounded project position, not current capacity, revenue, customers, market share or procurement from Bachu.

Xinjiang Woguoyuan Food Co., Ltd. appears under Yengisar County in the 2025 list. Its name does not define products or assign the Yengisar apricot-park direction to the firm. Current operation for all three companies requires their own licences, products and regulatory records; list co-occurrence creates no buying, selling or logistics tie.

  • Company lists confirm identity at a specific date.

08 · Testing Capability through One Raw-material Lot

Lot movement sits closer to production than prefecture totals.

Kashgar agri-food processing is shaped by the distance between multi-county origins and processing facilities. Fruit needs grading, cooling and storage, grain and naan use staple-food systems, and livestock products follow separate inspection and temperature controls. Agricultural parks, processing parks and logistics connect those routes without turning them into one process or company population.

The four first-half 2025 measures cover the entire prefecture, while the 2024 parks, resident firms, cooperatives and jobs form another population. County plans and company lists explain locations and identities but do not supply county output or commercial relationships. Separating half-year statistics, park scale and company roles clarifies the regional network.

A practical order begins with product, origin, season and shelf life before checking processing licences, grading standards, storage temperature, transit time and lot tests. Park status and company identity show potential locations rather than inventory, capacity, customers or actual logistics. Tracing one input lot to finished product and delivery reveals whether the chain works.

  • Raw-material lots best connect origins with finished goods.
