Heihe Advanced Soybean Processing

Heihe planted more than 20 million mu of soybeans in 2023 and produced 5.13 billion jin. Seed-production area reached 2.8 million mu in 2024 and 3 million mu in 2025; planting, commodity output and seed acreage measure different activities.

Formation and regional foundations

Large-scale non-GM soybean farming first supported storage and primary processing. Municipal plans later assigned different processing roles to Nenjiang, Bei’an, Wudalianchi and the Heihe free-trade area, but parks, food bases and imported-soy projects remain at different stages and cannot be combined as operating capacity.

Heihe’s soybean position begins with extensive farmland, while added value occurs through seed production, storage, food ingredients, soybean foods and trade processing. Municipal output, county parks and free-trade-area projects occupy different statistical levels, so plant assessment returns to raw material, process route and actual operation.

Core geography: Heihe soybean belt, county processing nodes and the free-trade area

Municipal, county and border nodes in Heihe soybeans

How production baselines connect Nenjiang, Bei’an and the free-trade area

Relative positions distinguish crop areas, planned bases and company matters. Connections show related policy or processing contexts, not fixed purchasing among firms.

  • Heihe municipal resource and policy observation frame — The Heihe municipal node combines planting, commodity output and seed-production measures with different subjects.
  • Nenjiang planned base and start-up-area agenda — The Nenjiang node covers a non-GM soybean park start-up area and green-food direction that remain planned.
  • Beian mixed agricultural-processing plan node — Bei’an carries planned compound agricultural and soybean-food processing roles without implying current output.
  • Wudalianchi Shuangxin licence and historical-project node — The Shuangxin node links a Wudalianchi entity licence with a historical project; current capability requires a separate check.
  • Heihe Yinong audited-project context node — The Yinong node identifies a Heihe entity and project matter without inheriting citywide soybean scale.
  • Heihe free-trade-zone Guoyuan project node — The Guoyuan Foods node sits in the Heihe free-trade processing context, while project status does not establish continuous production.
  • Historical first landed processing of mutual-trade imported soybeans — The first landed processing of imported soybeans through border trade is a dated event, not a continuing import volume.

01 · One crop belt and several processing locations

Heihe, Nenjiang, Bei’an, Wudalianchi and the free-trade area hold different roles.

Heihe statistics cover a wide agricultural area, while processing nodes sit in different counties and the free-trade area. Fields, storage points, food plants and trade projects require transport and handoffs. A common municipal boundary does not mean one soybean lot passes through every node.

Nenjiang plans a start-up area for a non-GM soybean processing park, while Bei’an carries soybean-food and compound agricultural processing directions. Wudalianchi has separate company licensing and historical projects. The locations may complement one another without sharing capacity or operation.

The Heihe free-trade area is closer to border, bonded and trade-processing activity. Imported materials face different controls, storage and settlement from local commodity soybeans. A project may use that location while still defining material identity, processing purpose and sales route.

  • Municipal crop strength cannot be converted into county factory capacity.

02 · Twenty million mu and 5.13 billion jin belong to 2023

Later seed-production acreage forms another series and cannot merge with commodity output.

When reviewing 2023, the 2024 government work report gives more than 20 million mu planted and 5.13 billion jin of soybean output citywide. One measures land and the other harvest weight. Together they describe production but not the quantity available to processors.

The 2025 report looks back on 2.8 million mu used for soybean seed production in 2024. A year later, the retrospective measure had risen to 3 million mu. This comparison describes seed activity rather than all soybean planting.

Yield calculation requires planting and harvested output from the same year with a clear jin-to-tonne conversion. Seed fields also face varietal purity, isolation and multiplication requirements. Adding seed acreage to commodity acreage can double-count land and overstate processing feedstock.

  • Year, geography, crop purpose and unit jointly determine comparability.

03 · Separate planned chains from operating plants

Municipal plans set processing directions, while annual reports provide limited progress.

Heihe’s five-year plan lists advanced soybean processing, soybean foods, protein and related food directions across several county nodes. It explains the intended product chain. It does not establish that every project was built, fed with material or reached design capacity.

Completed matters in an annual work report must remain separate from tasks for the next year. A project described as advancing, starting or planned sits at a different equipment and funding stage. Commissioning language, licences and operating data together establish actual processing.

Plant throughput requires a closed balance among inbound weights, storage changes, finished-goods inventory and losses. A planning target may guide equipment selection, but it is not actual output. A multi-product plant should also separate lots by variety and use.

  • Project names and processing targets cannot replace line records.

04 · Process choices in Nenjiang, Bei’an and Wudalianchi

County positioning must fit feedstock, products, energy and markets rather than copy one park.

A government meeting mentions the start-up area of Nenjiang’s non-GM soybean processing park and a green-food direction. A start-up area indicates early organisation and space planning rather than a completed park. Each project still needs land, construction, equipment and food-production checks.

Soybean-food processing in Bei’an may cover tofu, soy drink, yuba or other foods, each with different soaking, milling, heating and cold-chain needs. Compound agricultural processing can introduce new allergens and cleaning-changeover issues. Product mix determines utilities and storage layout.

A Wudalianchi company node should begin with licensed products and current lines. A historical project can show an earlier direction but not that equipment still operates in place. A visit compares licensed address, equipment plates, recent lot codes and staffing shifts.

  • Differences among parks ultimately appear in materials and customers.

05 · Imported soybeans retain identity after the border

A first landed-processing event is historical, not a continuing trade volume.

Heihe recorded an initial landed-processing event for soybeans imported through border trade. It establishes a border-to-processing link at a particular time. It does not provide later annual volumes, continuing customers or current plant load.

At warehouse receipt, imported soybeans retain origin, quarantine, weight, quality and customs status. If they coexist with local non-GM soybeans, bins, conveyance and cleaning must prevent lot mixing. Trade convenience does not remove food-labelling or customer-specification duties.

Products sold domestically or re-exported after processing follow different settlement, tax and traceability routes. Each raw-material lot should reconcile with finished goods, losses and sales documents. Without that chain, border imports cannot stand for local advanced-processing output.

  • Origin, inspection status and final use follow storage and processing.

06 · Soil protection and food-plant risks coexist

Ecological planning concerns farmland, while plants manage water, energy and by-products.

Heihe’s ecological plan proposes a western agricultural belt and soybean-food bases while considering production and resource protection. Black-soil use involves rotation, erosion, fertiliser and pesticide inputs. A regional ecological label cannot replace field-level cultivation records.

Soybean-food plants use water in soaking, washing, separation and sanitation, creating wastewater with high organic load. Recovery of protein, oil and okara affects material loss and treatment cost. Environmental systems should be measured during the highest production shift.

Mould, allergens, residues and genetic identity are different control problems. Intake tests, segregated storage, cleaning validation and label review carry separate duties. One passing test does not cover every later origin and lot.

  • A green position must reach soil, inputs and processing emissions.

07 · Three firms correspond to independent project nodes

Shuangxin, Yinong and Guoyuan Foods cannot borrow one another’s addresses or projects.

Wudalianchi Shuangxin Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. corresponds to a local licence and historical project node. Checks use the full legal name and licensed address and confirm whether products cover the intended purchase. Earlier project investment does not replace recent production lots.

Heihe Yinong Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. appears through a separate entity and project matter. Its process route, plant and operating status require evidence for that legal entity. Sharing the city’s soybean setting does not automatically provide feedstock security or output.

Heihe Guoyuan Foods Co., Ltd. appears in a free-trade-area project context that may involve imported-material processing. Continuing activity depends on customs, storage, production and sales trails. The three firms gain no equity or supply relationship merely by appearing in the same industry view.

  • A company name identifies the entity; products and operation require licences and plant evidence.

08 · The plant route from a truck of beans to finished goods

Material identity, process yield and product release close within one lot chain.

Soybean intake records supplier area, variety, crop year, moisture, impurities, damage and protein or oil. Vehicle weights must match bin assignments, with abnormal lots handled separately. If identity is lost at storage, later non-GM or origin claims lack a foundation.

Cleaning, dehulling, soaking, milling, separation or extraction parameters vary by product. A plant records inputs, finished goods, okara, wastewater and process loss. When yield changes suddenly, it separates material, equipment, operation and measurement causes.

Finished release covers microbiology, composition, allergens, packaging and labels, with temperature checks for chilled goods. Trial delivery gathers opening, processing or consumer feedback. Purchasing expands only after consecutive lots are stable and complaints remain traceable.

  • A plant visit follows material before discussing parks or growth targets.

Sources and reading notes

Annual retrospectives remain separate from next-year tasks, and planting, seed production and commodity output retain their own units. Planned parks establish spatial direction only, while company projects retain their entity and construction stage.
