Ganzhou Modern Furniture

Ganzhou’s modern furniture cluster centres on Nankang, while municipal statistics cover wider manufacturing. In 2024 the city produced 28.543 million furniture pieces, including 25.7889 million wooden pieces. The latter is a subset of the former and the two should not be added.

Formation and regional foundations

Nankang’s materials, manufacturing, design, market and logistics capabilities form the core, while planning extends toward Longnan, Ganxian, Xinfeng, Chongyi and Shangyou. Furniture investment grew 24.3% in 2024, and reported Nankang cluster scale reached RMB 284.962 billion. The figures differ in geography and meaning.

Ganzhou furniture requires both municipal manufacturing data and the Nankang cluster. Output and investment describe citywide change, while Nankang’s scale, market and planning show how the core is organised; five outward directions still need local examination. Markor Digital, Jianming Home and Tuantuanyuan Furniture add distinct links to environmental upgrading, smart production and design.

Core geography: Ganzhou-wide Statistics with the Nankang Core and Five Planned Extensions

Ganzhou Furniture Core and Planned Extensions

How Nankang Connects with Five Municipal Directions

Positions express planning levels rather than continuous park boundaries, transport distances or actual orders.

  • Ganzhou municipal statistical and policy frame — Ganzhou-wide statistics, planning and assigned policy tasks meet at the municipal entry.
  • Documented Nankang cluster core — Nankang is the documented representative and plan-defined core of the modern-furniture cluster.
  • Longnan plan-defined extension — Longnan appears as one extension direction in the 2021 furniture plan.
  • Ganxian plan-defined extension — Ganxian enters the plan as a separate extension from the Nankang core.
  • Xinfeng plan-defined extension — Xinfeng forms another named direction in the wider municipal layout.
  • Chongyi plan-defined extension — Chongyi is a planned extension whose current production role needs local project information.
  • Shangyou plan-defined extension — Shangyou completes the five named directions without becoming a continuation of the Nankang park.

01 · Municipal Entry and the Nankang Core

Ganzhou provides the statistical and policy level; Nankang has the clearest cluster-core role.

Nankang is the clearest core of Ganzhou’s modern-furniture cluster, while municipal statistics cover production across the city. A 2021 plan also points toward Longnan, Ganxian, Xinfeng, Chongyi and Shangyou, but the five places are development directions rather than one continuous park. The sector therefore has three spatial layers: Nankang core, municipal Ganzhou and planned extensions.

Municipal furniture output may include factories outside Nankang, while Nankang’s market, design and logistics scale cannot stand for every county. Planned radiation expresses an ambition for collaboration but gives no current firm count, output or park boundary for the five places. Collapsing the three geographic layers into one label would first corrupt every metric’s denominator.

A visit can begin with Nankang’s market and manufacturing base, then add one extension area for a specific purpose rather than attempt all six places. Distinguish the established core from planning directions on the map and label every interview figure as municipal or Nankang. Judge an extension’s actual progress only when new production, park or company information appears for that jurisdiction.

  • A city name does not place every figure in one geographic unit.

02 · Output, Change and Cluster Scale

Total pieces, wooden subset, investment growth and cluster scale use different measures.

Ganzhou produced 28.543 million furniture pieces in 2024, down 17.2 per cent year on year. Wooden furniture accounted for 25.7889 million pieces within that total and fell 17.5 per cent. Fixed-asset investment in furniture manufacturing rose 24.3 per cent in the same year. These are municipal measures of physical output and investment change.

Output can fall while investment rises because buildings, equipment and upgrades do not immediately become finished goods in the same year. Wooden furniture is a subset of total pieces and cannot be added to them. Nankang’s reported 2024 cluster scale of RMB 284.962 billion uses another geography and measure, so it cannot yield value per item or company revenue.

Keep municipal total output, the wooden subset, investment growth and Nankang cluster scale in four separate positions with their own year and geography. The RMB 300 billion modern-home revenue figure was a 2024 work target and should not be divided into RMB 284.962 billion to imply completion. Any comparison first needs matching industry coverage.

  • Even same-year figures require aligned geography and population.

03 · Quality, Standards and Branding

Materials, structure, finish, emissions and intellectual property jointly shape brand reputation.

Nankang’s quality work combines problem-solving projects, standards training, collective marks, sampling and intellectual-property services, with more than 500 above-scale firms participating in related activity in 2024. The figure shows broad programme reach but is not a census of all local firms and does not mean that every participant earned the same certification or quality level.

Furniture quality reaches the material, structure, surface and lot. Panels or timber, adhesives, finishes, hardware and upholstery each carry their own acceptance checks, and sampling speaks only for tested batches. Collective marks and patents protect, respectively, brand use and technical work. Using the tools together can reduce recurring problems but does not replace product testing and plant process control.

A buyer can start with one representative product and check its applicable standard, material schedule, type or lot tests, mark authorisation and patent boundary before observing incoming control, finishing, assembly and release at the plant. Use of a regional brand needs permission for the company and product. Fiscal support should remain tied to the named project rather than become operating income.

  • A regional brand does not replace product standards and testing.

04 · Five Planned Extension Directions

Longnan, Ganxian, Xinfeng, Chongyi and Shangyou take different planned extension roles.

The 2021 plan places Nankang at the core, points toward Longnan, Ganxian, Xinfeng, Chongyi and Shangyou, and promotes links among furniture, appliances and fit-out. Clustering, upgrading, specialisation, branding, diversification and greener production are development directions. Its 2025 figures for output, enterprise development and brands are targets rather than automatic results.

Radiation may occur through orders, people, equipment, logistics or policy coordination, but the plan does not prove that those links formed. Later information concentrates on Nankang and does not list furniture firms, operating parks or output for each extension. Nankang’s growth cannot fill those gaps, and company supply lines should not be invented between places.

To understand an extension area, begin with its own parks and firms, then check production, logistics and supporting services on the ground rather than infer industrial links from administrative proximity. Nankang can serve as a reference for whether materials, design or sales extend outward. A new dated observation for one node does not advance the other four.

  • A planning link is not a current statutory park or equal capacity.

05 · Design, Digitalisation and Green Upgrading

Digital design, flexible production and material use drive manufacturing upgrading.

Nankang added 13,000 designed products and received 3,521 patent grants in 2024 while advancing enterprise diagnosis, digital transformation, an industrial platform, water-based coating conversion and shared manufacturing. Design output, legal rights, service reach and upgrade status measure different stages. Together they show a rich set of tools but cannot be combined into an innovation rate.

Digitalisation changes an order when it connects drawings, order decomposition, materials, equipment, packing and delivery rather than merely creating a display platform. Green upgrading also separates technology promotion, firm completion and emissions results. Water-based finishing does not automatically place every process at one environmental level; spraying, curing, exhaust treatment and material performance still need plant-level observation.

At a digital factory, follow one custom order through revision, panels, CNC programme, package identity and installation feedback. For a finishing conversion, examine whether material substitution, process window, emissions control and final surface remain stable together. Patent and design counts provide innovation context; production yield, lead time, rework and customer use show whether the product improved.

  • Upgrade results should appear in lead time, yield, energy and product performance.

06 · Markets, Logistics and Policy Goals

Trade, warehousing, distribution and e-commerce connect Nankang products with distant markets.

Nankang connects to markets through brand halls, specialty stores, e-commerce, exhibitions, overseas orders and furniture trains. Planning also proposes a cross-border commerce park, customer-experience centres and the Hundred Cities and Thousand Stores initiative. A 2024 work programme sought stronger hardware, water-based paint and lighting support while treating modern-home revenue above RMB 300 billion as an annual objective rather than an achieved operating result.

Store counts, online shops, train coverage and signed orders use different populations and cannot be converted into export revenue or fulfilment rate. Hardware, coatings and lighting as chain-strengthening directions do not prove purchases by a particular furniture firm. A headquarters area or cross-border commerce park becomes a current channel or service facility only after it is built and operating.

Trace the real order route during a company visit: who signs, where production occurs, where goods consolidate, how customs is handled, and who installs and services the product. Furniture trains may suit certain volumes and destinations without always beating road or sea. Compare logistics by load factor, time, damage and clearance; current routes and customers, not targets alone, determine the commercial choice.

  • Policy targets need later operating results before progress can be judged.

07 · Different Roles of Three Companies

Markor Digital, Jianming Home and Tuantuanyuan are separate entities and businesses.

Markor Digital Ganzhou Home Intelligent Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is associated with support for a 2022 spray-VOC treatment project and appears beside Ganzhou Jianming Home Co., Ltd. in a 2023 intelligent-manufacturing benchmark award item. Their co-appearance establishes a dated policy matter, not an equal split of RMB 1.2 million or a joint venture or supply relationship.

Jiangxi Tuantuanyuan Furniture Co., Ltd. is linked to a RMB 500,000 reward for a provincial industrial-design centre in 2023, which is a historical award. Markor Digital, Jianming Home and Tuantuanyuan offer three angles on environmental upgrading, smart manufacturing and design. They are not an official top-three ranking, lead-firm list or complete company directory, and their roles are not interchangeable.

Before contacting the three firms, check current registration, factory address, products and project entity separately, then ask about equipment, materials, design or delivery according to the actual need. Award money is not current operating revenue, and a historical designation does not replace product testing. Capacity, customers and orders require present company information rather than extension from a policy item.

  • Company comparison needs aligned products, plants, periods and delivery conditions.

08 · How to Explore Ganzhou Furniture

A route can begin in the Nankang market, then visit design, factory, logistics and one extension area.

A Ganzhou furniture visit works best when it follows one complete order through Nankang materials, design, factory, market and logistics rather than chasing every scale figure first. Municipal output shows manufacturing change, Nankang cluster scale shows the core’s magnitude, and quality work and planning explain upgrade directions. Returning each to its practical stage reveals the production and trade behind the numbers.

The most damaging errors are assigning municipal output to Nankang, presenting Nankang scale as a Ganzhou total, treating five planned directions as current members, or calling the RMB 300 billion target achieved. More than 500 participants are not a firm census, and a shared award cannot be divided equally. Small wording changes would materially alter conclusions about scale, geography and company capability.

Close the visit around a product and order rather than policy terms: establish the plant, materials, sample, production lot, packing, transport, installation and service, then note which strengths belong to the Nankang core and which only to one company. If Longnan or another extension matters, plan a separate local route and questions instead of answering for it with Nankang information.

  • Findings should resolve into product, lot, contract and installation service.
