Dengfeng Refractory Materials
During the first half of the 14th Five-Year Plan, Dengfeng consolidated 34 refractory firms and reduced combined capacity by 567,000 tonnes. These historical measures show the scale of restructuring, not a present company list or current capacity. Later projects are needed to assess technical renewal in abrasives, refractories and building materials.
Formation and regional foundations
A 2022 industrial layout used a “one zone, two parks and three bases” structure. Dajindian, Donghua and Gaocheng carried directions including high-temperature components, refractories and abrasives. Environmental work, equipment renewal and product upgrading are shifting traditional production toward cleaner and higher-value operations.
Dengfeng refractories connect local industrial minerals and an established processing base with demand from metallurgy and building materials. Historical consolidation reduced part of the capacity; the “one zone, two parks and three bases” structure organised space. Environmental tasks and equipment projects influence movement toward higher-performance products. Keda, Yuxing and Guangda provide three company entry points.

How Three Bases Connect Environmental Work and Equipment Renewal
Nodes show planned industrial locations and directions, not roads, mineral supply or company logistics.
- Dengfeng civilian refractory-materials frame — Municipal frame joining historical restructuring, named industrial bases, project stages, environmental action and manufacturing-upgrade directions without converting them into a current output or enterprise directory
- Historical integrated-enterprise cohort — Completed-period aggregate of 34 refractory enterprises touched by integration and 567,000 tonnes of combined capacity reduction with no company breakdown or current continuity assumption
- Dajindian industrial base — Named policy base in the 2022 one-zone/two-park/three-base frame with stated high-temperature-component, refractory-material and abrasives directions rather than measured operating scale
- Donghua industrial base — Separately named policy base within the same 2022 municipal spatial structure, retained as a geographic direction without inferred equivalence to the other bases or current hosting capacity
- Gaocheng industrial base — Third named policy base in the municipal frame with refractory and related material directions bounded to the proposal reply and no allocation of municipal historical totals
- Wear-resistant advanced-materials micro-enterprise park — Dated project-stage node described through construction, intended entry and projected value language without proof of completed facilities, operating entrants or realized economic output
- Environmental and technical-upgrading programmes — Time-bounded policy node combining cluster-specific environmental action, cleaner-energy and advanced-treatment requirements with earlier equipment, research and digitalization directions
01 · What Consolidation of 34 Firms Left Behind
The 567,000-tonne reduction indicates historical restructuring scale, not current total capacity.
Dengfeng’s Fourteenth Five-Year midterm review records integration of 34 refractory firms and a combined capacity reduction of 567,000 tonnes in the first half of the period. The same adjustment also included technology renewal and product upgrading for abrasives, refractory and building-material businesses. These are historical restructuring measures, not a 2026 register, present capacity or individual company performance.
The 34 firms describe the population touched by restructuring, while 567,000 tonnes describe combined capacity removed or reduced; dividing them does not yield an average company size. The data lack the earlier baseline, company breakdown, exit methods and later additions, so present remaining capacity cannot be derived. The supported conclusion is a historical aggregate change.
Later comparison should collect firm counts, designed capacity, actual output and operating months on the same basis, with timelines for construction, replacement, closure, renovation and name changes. Project or equipment counts should not be joined directly to reduced tonnage. Exact entity names and dates help distinguish consolidation, deregistration and statistical reclassification.
- Before-and-after comparison needs the same company population and dates.
02 · How One Zone, Two Parks and Three Bases Are Arranged
Two parks and three bases form a planned structure rather than five identical production units.
Dengfeng’s 2022 industrial structure uses one zone, two parks and three bases, with high-temperature components, refractory materials and abrasives assigned across Dajindian, Donghua and Gaocheng. The wear-resistant advanced-materials micro-enterprise park was still at a stated construction stage. These names identify planned nodes but do not establish equal continuous production or trade among firms.
The spatial frame places land, infrastructure, environmental control and enterprise services into manageable units; it does not create supply relationships by itself. The three bases may differ in timing, products and facilities, while the micro-enterprise park can move from intended entry through construction, installation, trials and stable operation. Hosting capability requires project and operating information from a matching date.
A review of one base should confirm its boundary, land, roads, energy and treatment facilities, then label every project as intended, approved, started, installing, trialling or operating continuously. Registered and actual production addresses remain separate. Projected value and intended entrants belong to a future column rather than realised concentration.
- Each node must be read through its product direction, construction status and active firms.
03 · How Environmental Work Changes Refractory Production
Kilns, dust, fuel and material handling are central environmental issues in refractory production.
Dengfeng’s 2023–2025 environmental action plan calls for reviews of traditional clusters including refractories, cluster-specific measures, specialist-park upgrades, cleaner-energy substitution and advanced treatment. Energy, emissions and spatial renovation therefore sit in one action framework. Requirements and deadlines do not mean citywide substitution is complete or environmental performance has already improved.
Control performance must link equipment changes with daily operation: energy substitution depends on the supply mix, advanced treatment on capture, processing and maintenance, and park upgrading on shared-utility interfaces. Historical capacity reduction describes structural adjustment rather than emissions, energy, maintenance or abnormal conditions. Taking action and achieving an effect require different results.
An upgrade review can identify the control object, equipment model, treatment rating, commissioning date, energy metering, maintenance cycle, monitoring location and response to abnormal conditions. Construction acceptance, daily operation and periodic tests should remain separate. Year-to-year comparison also needs the same process and boundary across normal load, startup, shutdown and maintenance.
- Environmental requirements can reshape equipment investment, production organisation and lead time.
04 · Equipment Renewal and Product Upgrading
Automated batching, forming, firing and testing equipment influence consistency and product limits.
Dengfeng’s 2020–2022 manufacturing programme treats refractories as a traditional strength and promotes greener, resource-efficient, innovative and clustered development through joint R&D, equipment renewal, digitalisation and advanced products. It shows the policy tools and upgrading direction of that period. A historical 2022 target does not prove that today’s equipment or products are all operating.
Equipment renewal can change batching accuracy, forming consistency, thermal profiles, energy use, dust-control load and lot traceability rather than merely replace a machine. Digitalisation matters when sensing, calibration, process control and quality results connect. The available information gives no adopting-firm count, completed investment, yield or unit energy use from which to calculate an industrywide transition.
A technical upgrade should compare the same product and process before and after the change through input variation, dimensions, heat-treatment profile, energy, test results and downtime, using one metering method and production period. A simultaneous change in product specification or load requires a new baseline. Each result should also map to a specific cause in training, machine replacement or process adjustment.
- A project name does not establish commissioning, yield or product certification.
05 · Construction Stages and Projected Values
Some materials combine project progress with projected value, which are status and expectation respectively.
The wear-resistant advanced-materials micro-enterprise park was described through construction status, intended entrants and projected output value, which represent works progress, potential entities and a future economic scenario. They cannot be combined into operating-firm counts or realised revenue. One zone, two parks and three bases is likewise an organisational model rather than real-time production statistics.
A project moves from concept through planning, filing, environmental procedure, construction, installation, commissioning, acceptance and ramp-up, and any stage can change with design, funding, markets or control requirements. A park-upgrade timeline may also cross an individual project. Projected value is a conditional target, not a measure of present efficiency or replacement of historically reduced capacity.
Progress needs dated information for approval, construction, equipment, acceptance and operation, with project name, sponsor, location and scale kept consistent. A changed name or entity must first be checked as the same project. Different reported scales also require a distinction among redesign, phased construction and changed statistical scope.
- A projection becomes comparable only after like-for-like operating results appear.
06 · A Recent Company Status Is a Snapshot
Registration or regulatory information fixes entity and status on a particular date.
Regulator notices dated 4 July and 13 March 2024 identify the exact legal names of Dengfeng Keda Refractory Materials Company Limited and Dengfeng Yuxing Refractory Materials Company Limited. The linked attachments are unavailable, leaving products, operating status, capacity, revenue and environmental performance unanswered until current licences, complete inspection material or company disclosures are obtained.
A company name on a regulator page does not establish continuing operation or passage of every inspection. The 34 historically integrated entities cannot automatically be matched to Keda or Yuxing without a full list, credit codes and succession links. The municipal historical aggregate, 2024 identity snapshots and a 2025 inspection list should remain separate.
Further company inquiry begins with the full legal name, credit code, production address and valid licences, followed by products and the latest operating month for the same entity. A title or one inspection list supports appearance and date only, not a guess about an attachment. New information should be compared character by character with older names to avoid mixing branches or predecessor entities.
- Historical presence does not prove continuous present production; shutdown and restart need later dates.
07 · Three Refractory Firms, Each Distinct
Keda, Yuxing and Guangda appear as separate company identities.
The three companies leave records of different depth: Keda has a 2024 regulator title and a 2025 inspection list, Yuxing currently has only a 2024 title, and Henan Dengfeng Guangda Refractory Materials Co., Ltd. is linked to a 2020 environmental approval in Ludian Town. The RMB 30 million and 35,807.5 square metres for Guangda delimit the approved investment and site scope at that time; they do not describe present output, revenue or operating status.
Keda’s two appearances do not prove continuous production between the dates, and Yuxing’s missing attachment cannot supply its address or products. Guangda’s approval confirms a project location, intended investment and area, not completed works, fully spent funds or designed capacity. Sharing a Dengfeng refractory context creates no ownership, supply, customer or common-equipment relationship.
Company comparison can align name, date, record type, location, project stage and permitted conclusion: Keda remains an identity and inspection snapshot, Yuxing an identity and disclosure date, and Guangda an approved Ludian Town project. Present operation still requires valid licences, recent production and specific products. Approved investment, floor area or frequency of regulator appearances is not a ranking measure.
- Sharing Dengfeng does not mean identical minerals, processes or customers.
08 · How to Assess Dengfeng’s Present Refractory Capability
Historical consolidation and spatial planning explain change; present capability remains in plants and products.
Dengfeng’s refractory chronology contains 2020 manufacturing-upgrade directions, 2022 spatial and project status, 2023 historical restructuring and environmental tasks, and 2024 company identity snapshots. Together they explain industrial organisation, geography and governance. None alone provides current municipal output, present capacity or a complete enterprise register.
Integration of 34 firms and reduction of 567,000 tonnes are historical results; cluster-specific measures, park upgrades and energy substitution are time-bounded actions; projected value and intended entrants are future scenarios; and company appearances are dated identity information. The four categories are not interchangeable. Keeping tense, geography and entity level prevents a false picture of current conditions.
A site review can choose one ordinary refractory product or abrasives process and follow raw materials, batching, forming, heat treatment, testing, energy and control facilities, then place the plant in Dajindian, Donghua, Gaocheng or its actual location. Equipment changes, projects and licences need dates and stages. A repeat visit using the same lot, energy and maintenance checks can show whether a change persists.
- A visit should examine kiln status, grades, testing, environmental permission and recent delivery.
