Chongqing Yubei's BeiDou applications industry starts from its 2023 national specialised SME cluster recognition. Public materials show a multi-company network spanning navigation and communications, in-vehicle systems, automotive software, intelligent cockpits and operating services.

Formation and regional foundations

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology confirmed the Chongqing Yubei BeiDou Applications Industrial Cluster in its 2023 list. Later Chongqing publications continued to document local activity in BeiDou navigation and communications, intelligent cockpits, driving systems and automotive software.

Core geography: The formal jurisdiction is Yubei District, Chongqing. The coordinate marks only a public arrival point at No. 19 Shujugu East Road in Xiantao Data Valley, an important carrier for BeiDou-related firms; it is not the cluster centre, boundary or an entrance to any representative company.

01 · Formal identity and reading boundary

The first step is to separate the formal cluster name from the wider regional ecosystem and its physical carriers.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology listed the Chongqing Yubei BeiDou Applications Industrial Cluster in its 2023 cohort, which provides the formal starting point for this profile.

A later Chongqing government report places research and manufacturing, navigation algorithms, technical support and operating services in one BeiDou application chain, showing a multi-company group rather than a single project.

Xiantao Data Valley, a BeiDou application park, automotive-intelligence parks and Chongqing's wider connected-vehicle industry have different boundaries, so figures from one should not be reassigned to another.

02 · How the application chain connects

BeiDou capability reaches applications through in-vehicle hardware, software platforms, algorithms and operating services.

Local public materials describe a chain extending beyond satellite-navigation terminals to research and manufacturing, navigation algorithms, technical support and operating services.

The three representative companies illustrate navigation and in-vehicle systems, vehicle-software development, and multi-domain cockpit integration. They show division of work, not a complete membership roster.

A practical assessment should first identify whether a need concerns hardware, base software, algorithms, integration or operating services, then verify the relevant company's current deliverable scope.

03 · BeiDou Intelligent Connectivity in vehicle systems

The company links BeiDou navigation and communications with intelligent cockpits, assisted driving and connected-vehicle products.

The company's official website uses its full legal name, describes its establishment in Chongqing and identifies automotive intelligence, BeiDou navigation and communications, intelligent cockpits and driving systems as business areas.

The official milestones page is used for the Chongqing headquarters, manufacturing base and name history; those facilities and former descriptions are not counted as additional companies.

Chongqing government materials from 2024 and 2025 place the legal entity in Yubei's intelligent-cockpit, driving and connected-product context, while any shipment or operating figures remain tied to their publication dates.

04 · Changan Software and the vehicle-software layer

Vehicle control, vehicle cloud, cockpit and automated-driving software form identifiable development interfaces.

Chongqing government materials from 2023 name Chongqing Changan Automobile Software Technology Co., Ltd. in full and place it among Yubei software enterprises and automotive-software development in Xiantao Data Valley.

A 2024 report by the official Seven-One client further describes vehicle-control software, remote vehicle control through cloud platforms, automated-driving controllers, cockpit entertainment systems and planning-and-control algorithms.

These software modules, controllers and algorithms are business or product stages rather than separate legal entities. Project evaluation should also verify interface standards, validation responsibilities and version cycles.

05 · Cockpit integration at ThunderSoft's Chongqing company

Intelligent cockpits and multi-domain integration show the link between application software and vehicle electronics.

Two Chongqing government reports from 2023 name ThunderSoft (Chongqing) Automotive Technology Co., Ltd. in full and place it among Yubei software enterprises and intelligent-cockpit products.

A People's Daily Online report carried by the State Taxation Administration locates the company in Xiantao Data Valley and describes automotive intelligent-cockpit and multi-domain integration work.

Tax-service outcomes, enterprise honours and figures reported at the time do not replace current verification of products, staffing and delivery conditions.

06 · Yubei carriers and the cluster boundary

Xiantao Data Valley provides company locations but does not replace the administrative and industrial definition of the national cluster.

Several government reports link the three representative companies to Yubei District or Xiantao Data Valley, providing cross-checked evidence of regional industry connections.

The national cluster, the data valley, industrial parks and the broader automotive-intelligence ecosystem operate at different levels; company counts or output from a park cannot automatically be assigned to this cluster.

On-site or remote due diligence should record the legal entity, research team, manufacturing base and delivery location separately so that multiple sites of one company are not counted as multiple firms.

07 · How to use dates and sources

Recognition notices, industry reports and company websites answer different questions.

The 2023 ministry material answers the formal-identity question, while Chongqing publications from 2023 to 2025 address location, companies and business settings.

The BeiDou Intelligent Connectivity website pages do not share an article publication date, so their name and business descriptions are used only as observed on 3 September 2026.

Every investment, procurement or partnership decision should recheck legal-entity status, product versions and current regulatory information; historical pages do not automatically prove present capability.

08 · From industry observation to an engagement decision

Engagement screening should put application layer, company role, location and source date in one view.

For navigation, communications and in-vehicle systems, BeiDou Intelligent Connectivity is a starting point; for vehicle software or multi-domain cockpit integration, the public materials on Changan Software and ThunderSoft's Chongqing company provide separate leads.

The three companies are representative cases; this does not establish formal ministry membership, and parents, brands, projects, bases or products must not be split into extra companies.
