Altay Specialty Agri-food Processing

The 2024 prefecture harvest crossed the one-million-tonne grain threshold. Beitun sunflower-seed equipment and Burqin maize drying carried published support amounts of RMB 701,400 and RMB 201,100, not total investment or confirmed payment.

Formation and regional foundations

Sheep, dairy, grain, oil crops and sea buckthorn form seasonal raw-material bases across different counties. Planned parks, two equipment projects and a sea-buckthorn engineering centre provide processing and testing routes, while actual capability remains project- and lot-specific.

Altay’s grain, sheep, dairy, oil crops and sea buckthorn are distributed across counties, with harvest seasons, livestock cycles and long transport shaping processing. Prefecture grain output describes the material setting, while two equipment-support items and a sea-buckthorn technical centre are project and shared-capability matters.

Core geography: Altay City, Beitun, Burqin and county agri-processing nodes

County and city nodes in Altay agri-processing

Roles of Beitun, Burqin, Fuhai, Qinghe and Habahe

The map shows planned and project locations without establishing fixed logistics. Contracts, vehicles, temperature and receipt determine county material movements.

  • Altay City planned lamb-processing node — Altay City has a planned sheep-slaughter and processing role whose construction and operation remain project-specific.
  • Beitun sunflower-seed primary-processing project — A Beitun sunflower-seed primary-processing equipment upgrade entered a 2025 support notice.
  • Burqin corn-drying and grassland-livestock node — The Burqin maize-drying project has its own operator and published support amount alongside local livestock planning.
  • Fuhai planned specialty-livestock node — Fuhai carries a planned specialty-livestock-product direction without established operating capacity.
  • Qinghe planned agri-food processing node — Qinghe’s planned processing node requires project, product and licence evidence.
  • Habahe planned sunflower-oil processing node — Habahe’s sunflower-oil direction connects oil crops without allowing undisclosed plant output.
  • Xinjiang Sea-buckthorn Engineering Technology Centre — The Xinjiang sea-buckthorn engineering centre provides testing and standardisation without shared production lines for every firm.

01 · One million tonnes is a prefecture agricultural result

Total grain output does not reveal variety, marketable share or plant availability.

Altay Prefecture produced more than one million tonnes of grain in 2024. The figure spans the prefecture and several crops as an agricultural result. It gives no shares for maize, oil crops or processing grain.

Processable volume is reduced by seed, feed, food use, external sales, loss and grading. A plant buys only the portion meeting moisture, impurity and use requirements. Putting total output into line loading overstates supply security.

Later crop- or county-specific figures form their own series. Comparison needs matching periods and units. When crop breakdown is absent, acreage, firm counts and project amounts cannot reconstruct weight.

  • Separate geography, crop and use before discussing processing scale.

02 · Short harvest seasons require ready storage and equipment

Sunflower seed, maize, sheep, dairy and sea buckthorn have different windows.

During concentrated sunflower and maize harvests, vehicles, scales, cleaning, drying and bins face pressure together. Moisture determines drying energy and mould risk. Equipment sizing uses peak hourly intake and allowed waiting time.

Sheep marketing and milk supply follow livestock cycles, with slaughter, chilling and fresh-milk collection using different temperature zones. Extreme weather can disrupt roads and pasture handoffs. Food schedules need allowances for delay and rejection.

Sea buckthorn is sensitive to crushing, oxidation and temperature after harvest, while juice, oil and dried goods use different pretreatment. A technical centre can support testing and standardisation. Production still depends on company materials, equipment and stable yield.

  • Seasonal peaks determine equipment and storage better than annual averages.

03 · Two support items establish particular equipment matters

RMB 701,400 and RMB 201,100 are not total industry investment.

Published support for a Beitun sunflower-seed equipment upgrade is RMB 701,400. The amount is tied to a named operator and location. It is not total investment or proof of procurement, installation and operation.

Published support for Burqin maize drying is RMB 201,100 under another entity and equipment use. Capability depends on heat source, throughput, storage and acceptance. Beitun information cannot fill Burqin gaps.

After commissioning, equipment records hourly intake, moisture change, energy, downtime and conformity. A published amount describes only the support procedure. Stable operating data show whether the project improves loss and delivery.

  • Published support, construction and continuing operation require separate confirmation.

04 · Seven county nodes have no default logistics line

Planning assigns product directions to areas, while materials and orders determine flows.

Altay City, Beitun, Burqin, Fuhai, Qinghe and Habahe hold different planned or project roles. They may complement one another or serve outside markets independently. A mapped line does not establish county material movement.

Grain and oil crops emphasise drying, moisture protection and bulk transport, while meat and dairy rely more on quarantine and cold chain. They cannot share one vehicle and handoff standard. Logistics cost follows real route, weight and backhaul.

A cross-county agreement names buyer, seller, product, period and quality requirements. Dispatch, temperature and receipt quantity then form a continuous trail. Only a complete set enters operating analysis.

  • Administrative proximity cannot replace dispatch, carriage and receipt.

05 · Standardisation cannot make unlike materials identical

Sea buckthorn has over ten regional standards, while other products need their own controls.

Altay sea-buckthorn work has produced more than ten regional standards, showing several technical rules for cultivation, material or products. The count does not mean every firm complies. Each lot is tested against applicable requirements.

Sunflower seed and edible oil involve impurities, acidity, oxidation and packaging; maize drying involves moisture uniformity and mycotoxins. Meat and dairy add microbiology and temperature. A shared laboratory may serve all, but methods are not interchangeable.

Traceability begins at field or pasture and harvest or marketing date, then follows bin, process lot and finished code. Mixing and rework retain changes. Label claims are reliable only when the whole chain reconciles.

  • Standard selection must match product, process and intended market.

06 · Market channels change with product shelf life

Shelf-stable goods, chilled meat, dairy and sea-buckthorn products face different radii.

Sunflower seed, oil and some dried goods tolerate longer transport with oxygen and moisture barriers. Chilled meat and dairy face time-temperature limits. Market radius cannot be compared by kilometres alone.

Tourism, local retail, wholesale and e-commerce have different order patterns. Festival demand may concentrate while increasing temporary stock and packing pressure. Scheduling uses paid demand, returns and remaining shelf life together.

A new product begins with a small batch to test transport, display and repeat purchase. Damage or flavour change is traced to package, temperature and time. Channel expansion follows consecutive lots rather than one exhibition response.

  • Channel choice considers receipt quality, stock and returns together.

07 · Three firms need their own plant and product evidence

Kuixian, Lufeng and Meite carry independent operating responsibility.

Xinjiang Kuixian Food Co., Ltd. is confirmed as an independent food processor. Engagement checks its plant, licensed products, process and recent lots. Prefecture grain output is not its material volume.

Altay City Lufeng Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Development Co., Ltd. has an agri-livestock role whose operation depends on its own licences and projects. Its name does not prove every product category. Contracts and logistics establish any relationship with Kuixian.

Burqin Meite Ecological Meat Food Co., Ltd. corresponds to meat products and Burqin. Capability depends on quarantine, slaughter or processing permission, cold chain and lots. The three firms cannot borrow one another’s project support or results.

  • A common Altay location creates no equity, shared capacity or supply.

08 · Use one material lot to validate equipment and delivery

Plant observation moves from intake and processing through tests, storage and customer receipt.

A grain or oilseed project selects one origin and harvest lot, checking moisture, impurities, bin and equipment settings. After drying or primary processing, input, conforming product and loss are balanced. Exceptions are separated among material, equipment and operation.

A meat or dairy project follows quarantine, receipt temperature, production lot and microbiological release. Cleaning and product change time enter capacity assessment. One pass does not cover other pastures and seasons.

A sunflower-seed trial is received against moisture, broken kernels and foreign matter, while dried maize is checked for moisture uniformity and mould. Sea-buckthorn products also require colour, acidity and package-leak checks, so the three products cannot share one decision sheet. The review assigns a deviation to harvest window, machine setting or transport pack before revising the next purchase conditions.

  • A representative pilot is closer to engagement risk than planned capacity.
